I wanted to share the excitement of Nicole's prom and ask you for your memories too...

The prom is very different these days than when I went to school...for the record I only went to my junior prom...my mom made my eyelet long gown and my date had me home by midnight..our prom was in the elementary school cafeteria, which the junior class decorated in the theme of "Color My World" with a paper rainbow...great memories from days gone by...

Nicole's school only has a senior prom so every girl is hoping to be asked...Last week during a fund raiser for the senior class she had her prom dream come true...Her friend Adam had been hinting for a few weeks...he had her positioned in the front of the auditorium and with all of the students and parents watching he cleverly asked her...

He said he was particularly good at math and proceeded to type PROM on his calculator as we all watched on the big screen...he then asked her to the prom and gave her the flowers!

She gave him a big hug and replied YES! Cheers and tears erupted...

I am sharing a sneak peak of her dress...we still need to find earrings and shoes...

I love that the kids today go as friends and sometimes even in a group...our school is planning an after prom in hope that we can keep all of the kids safe for the prom...I promise to share more pictures on the day...The prom may be different in many ways but it is still a wonderful memory to play Cinderella for the night...
