Finding Inspiration in Art

by on ‎05-13-2015 11:10 AM

One of my favorite things to do in New York City is to visit all the museums and galleries. I go and I see these incredible pieces that really just inspire me on every level! Having worked in a creative industry for all these years, I instinctively look for inspiration all around at every moment. And what better place to ignite that creative light bulb than in a room surrounded by beautiful, unique, one of kind art pieces?!?!!

Love and appreciate so many different genres of art but right now I’m so inspired by the natural and spontaneous expressionist works of Jean Michel-Basquiat, William de Kooning, Cy Twombly and so many others — each of these artists with different approaches and interpretations of looking at the world, then using that to create their own signature style. It’s truly amazing!

I especially love the blends of colors and brushstrokes in abstract art pieces. The effect is just so lovely; sometimes you want to wear it!!! It’s why we’ve decided to do our FIRST EVER PRINTED TSV!!

It’s all about showcasing that gorgeous panel of abstract watercolor print, perfectly contrasted with the solid color body. The beautiful print also draws attention to face with a twisted neckline trim. Gorgeous!

The printed portion echoes works of artists from classic Monet impressionist paintings to more modern takes by Gerhard Richter. So if you ever visit NYC, be sure to check out a museum or two and feel inspired yourself!!!
