Hello my fellow LCNY fashionistas!

Happy Valentine's day.  I hope I am the first one to send some love your way.  Speaking of how love is in the air in 2013, I had a moment to reflect on three special weddings right around the corner.  Catherine Gendell, my dear friend Kathy from Breezies youngest daughter, our own Shawn Killinger, and of course my first born Sarah.  Momentous occasions.  Speaking of memorable moments and love, I would like to introduce you to my very best friends my mom and dad, Marcia and Bruce.  This past week on February 5th they celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.  Wow! In this day and age that's such a milestone.  They met in college - you know how the story goes; at a dance he tripped her date, she got mad and embarrassed, and three children and a lifetime of fun later, they are still madly in love.  You know the kind of love where he looks at her the same way he did in their twenties. The kind of love where they still giggle. The kind of love that as a kid you felt so safe and secure around them.  They are each others best friend.  My wish for the three above mentioned newlyweds, is may you never sweat the small stuff, always kiss often, and remember how he or she made your heart skip a beat even when you are feeling low.  Trust me, bumpy roads are in the forecast, but if  Marcia and Bruce are a testimony to love and, as they say, the best darn 58 years ever, then rock on. So celebrate your special someone; best friend, parents, husband, wife, whomever makes you whole.  Watch out! Cupid's arrow strikes when you least expect it.  Join MBR and myself this Wednesday the eve of Valentine's day, and might I be so bold to ask will you be mine?  See you soon.
