Easy Fall Peach Cobbler

by on ‎08-12-2014 10:33 AM

For me, fall really is one of the most charming seasons of the year! The leaves turning colors, the bounty of the harvest and even the crispness of the air just seem so inviting and “cozy” for me. I was invited to my neighbor’s house for dinner this weekend, and since we are celebrating “Back to Fall” (and peaches are in season) I decided to make my “Easy Fall Peach Cobbler” for dessert. I happened to find some beautiful peaches at the market so I used them, but you can use 2 cans of peaches as I’ve written below.

Ingredients

Two cans of sliced peaches in syrup

1 stick of butter

1 cup self rising flower

1 cup sugar

1 cup milk

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Drain 1 can of peaches; save the syrup from the other. Place the butter in a Temptations pie pan. Heat the butter in the microwave until it's melted. In a medium bowl, mix the flour and sugar. Stir in the milk and the syrup. Pour the batter over the melted butter in pie plate. Place the peaches over the batter. Bake for 1 hour. You’ll know the cobbler is done when the batter rises and the crust is a thick, golden brown color.

Aren’t these peaches gorgeous!! I used 4 peaches, (as opposed to using the second can from the recipe)

This is what it looked like before we dug into it!

It was the perfect texture and consistency!!

This is what was left when the four of us were done with dessert!! My neighbor kept the remaining cobbler as well as the Pie Plate! She loved it so much, so it was my gift to her for inviting me over!!

Do you have a great recipe that you want to share with me? Or a photo of a fabulous dish you’ve made lately?  If so, go to my Facebook page, Alberti Popaj QVC and post it there!!
