Mary Beth's Menu - Lasagna

Every Sunday dinner recipe rotation should include a simple lasagna dish. As always, feel free to experiment with adding ingredients you and your family love ..... mushrooms, sausage, pepperoni ... manga, manga, manga!


Ingredients:



  • 16 oz. box lasagna noodles

  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil 

  • approx. 48 oz. spaghetti sauce of your choice

  • 24 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 32 - 40 oz. cottage cheese

  • one pound ground beef

  • seasoning to taste: salt, pepper, garlic, onions, etc.


Brown the ground beef with seasonings of your choice. This time, I used garlic, chopped onions, salt, pepper and oregano. Drain well.

Boil noodles as directed on package.

Spray large pan with non-stick cooking spray.

Place one layer of noodles on bottom of the pan (approx. 4)

Spoon cottage cheese on top of the noodles, then sprinkle cooked ground beef, mozzarella cheese, followed by spaghetti sauce. Then repeat the layers. The last layer should be the noodles then sauce.

Cover pan tightly with aluminum foil and bake for one hour at 350 degrees.
