How-to Set Your Holiday Table, How-to Make a Holiday Centerpiece & Who Wants Artichoke Dip?

Happy Belated Halloween! I came home to a kitchen full of candy after work last night—my kids certainly made out well! And, I’m enjoying some fruits of their labor today. Now if only I could stop eating it! How’s the candy situation in your house? Are you swimming in sugar?

Good news...You’re Home with Jill is on at 6pm ET this Wednesday! Truth be told, I’m still working on our DIY Project. BUT—I am ready to share Wednesday’s recipe…an appetizer all of your holiday guests are sure to enjoy.

Artichoke Dip

Artichoke Dip

This recipe is prepared with the Reed & Barton® Stainless Steel 108-Piece Service for 12 Flatware Set (H200386).

Ingredients:
•    1 (8-oz) can artichoke hearts (not marinated)
•    1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
•    1/2 cup sour cream
•    1/2 cup mayonnaise
•    8 oz cream cheese, softened
•    2 cloves garlic, minced
•    2 jalapeno peppers, stemmed, seeded, and diced
•    Sourdough or French bread (optional, for serving)
•    Crackers (optional, for serving)

Directions:

1.    Preheat the oven to 325°F.

2.    Puree all ingredients in a food processor or blender until smooth. Pour the dip into a shallow baking dish and bake for 30–45 minutes, or until lightly browned.

3.    Serve the dip warm, with torn up pieces of sourdough or French bread, or with crackers.

Isn’t that easy? Now, if you prefer to make a classic Spinach-Artichoke Dip, just add a package of frozen chopped spinach. Make sure it’s thawed and well-drained. With or without spinach, this is just the kind of recipe I like to make around the holidays. It leaves you more time to focus on all those other details like setting the table and making centerpieces…

How’s that for convenient! You’ve got a recipe (and don’t forget I’ve got so many more on QVC.com) and some tips on dressing your table. Stay tuned for Tuesday’s blog on our DIY project.

I’ll leave you with two more great holiday ideas…a Christmassy wreath that’s just perfect for your front door as well as a flameless candle decoration that you can change to suit the season at hand.

See you Wednesday at 6pm ET!
