For your hot, hot, hot summer, my cool, colorful and compact solution ~ Ninja Style!

Doesn’t matter where you are in this great country of ours – coast to coast, summer is here in all of its blazing red, white and blue glory. It is definitely HOT here on the East Coast ~ scorching is more like it.  When the sun is sizzling and the temperatures are barely cool at dusk, I cannot think of a better way to cool off than with an icy cold drink (or four). And let me tell you, my Ninja Kitchen System has been working on overtime helping me to refresh young and old alike with delicious frozen drinks and cocktails, not to mention ice cream, sorbets and chilled summer soups lickety split. Graduation parties, Fourth of July, summer BBQs … it’s been a whirlwind of fun at the Warden family gatherings. It has truly become my go-to summer appliance.

With so many of you reminding us of summer vacations and your desire to take our Ninja on the road with you, we are so excited to be bringing you the Ninja Storm, our most compact, portable, and colorful Ninja yet.  It will do everything that you expect from the popular original Ninja - crush ice, make frozen drinks, ice cream, chop, mix, and make your everyday smoothies, too.  And, even better, it is the lowest price Ninja available on QVC! The Ninja Storm will be making its debut as “Today’s Special Value” starting at midnight July 10th.

Whether you are off to a campground, on the road with your RV, or you may be headed to your summer cabins or to the beach for a few weeks, this new compact Ninja Storm is perfect to pack and go. It tucks right into the box with a few of my other kitchen essentials. It makes preparing all of your summer treats so quick and easy you will be out of the kitchen and poolside with a tray of treats in no time.

If you already love your original Ninja, this colorful new model would make the perfect gift for a summer wedding, a hostess gift or do as I do – carry a Ninja and all of the ingredients to the next neighborhood BBQ and make your favorite concoctions for everyone. With a price this low, there has never been a better time to pick one up. I know I am sending my youngest grandson off to college with one in his suitcase.  I can guarantee he will be making a lot of new friends with some of grandpa’s cool drink recipes. I even tucked one in for guacamole and another for homemade peanut butter.

I hope you can join me for this great Ninja Storm debut, but in the meantime, I wanted to share some family news with all of you. This is my incredibly lucky year.  I returned last month from attending my youngest son’s graduation from medical school, and just this week I was able to hear him tell me all about his first week of practicing as a real doctor at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City Utah.  What a joy!  I have vicariously enjoyed all of my children’s college experiences, learning a little law, music, computer engineering, and now medicine along the way.  I say I am lucky, because just as all of my own children were graduating with their degrees, another chapter begins as my oldest grandson heads off to college this fall.  Yay!  I will never have to stop learning.  I have twelve grandchildren, including two sets of twins born in the last 12 months. I guess you could say I will be learning for a lifetime. OK by me!

By the way Rick Domeier, has listed some of his favorite Ninja recipes on his current blog.  I would love to hear about some of your favorite Ninja recipes, either from the Ninja cookbooks or your own concoctions.  If have discovered over the last five years that Ninja owners are very creative.  I am always looking for new recipe ideas to include on air and in future cookbooks.  Let’s hear from you!

Stay cool.
