Can you add honey, splenda or stevia to the fruit mixture? Also, can you use canned fruit that has been frozen?

I've mostly used bananas but I've found that it works well using other frozen fruits without the bananas. I tend not to use it during the winter and cold weather but I'm ready to break it out again...I'm looking forward to seeing some new recipies!

I'm a big ice cream lover and this really does turn frozen fruit into an ice cream consistency!

I don't see why not! I've added stevia myself.

Hello, Bandwife! Yes, you sure can add a sweetner, if needed. Make sure to use over ripe, brown spotted bananas to acheive a sweeter flavor too. Yes, you can use canned fruit, make sure to drain before freezing!

Hello HRlady! Thank you for your question. For thawing times, I would recommend letting your frozen fruit sit out for 10 -15 minutes prior and see if it is easy to run through, and you love the consistency. You just don't want your fruit rock hard solid! ENJOY!

Hello flavirgo! Yes, you can freeze it for later use. You would just store in a freezer container and when you are ready to enjoy, take out of your freezer and let thaw for 20-30 minutes (depending on how cold your freezer's temperature is) on your counter and scoop out. You can also pre-make yonanas and put into a graham cracker pie crust or cookie pie crust. Freeze and serve when ready to entertain guests! The possibilities are endless...ENJOY!

Hello Mar Ann! It tastes like soft serve ice-cream and also has the same consistency. The bananas give it the natural sweetness and the fruit gives it a refreshing taste. If you are only using frozen fruits, no bananas, the consistency will be more of a sorbet texture, very refreshing for summertime!

What is the yield of ice cream per banana? How many bananas would I need to make about a cup of "ice cream"?

Is the yonanas machine dual voltage or would I need a transformer to use it abroad on 220V?

Hello Wisner Librarian! In all our recipes if you are using 2 frozen over-ripe bananas and about 3/4 cup of frozen fruit, you will have enough for 2 servings. You can always freeze, if you have too much to enjoy for later!

Hello GailR! The yonanas being sold today on QVC is our 120V model, compatiable for United States. We are sold in over 60 countries with the 220V model. We don't recommend using a transformer for 120V model.
