The first-ever MarkCharles Misilli cookbook, Deeg in with Family and Friends, debuts this week on QVC! 

This book is dedicated to my grandmother, who left an everlasting impression on my heart and everything I do, especially in the kitchen. Over my past 17 years in the housewares industry—and the last 11 years at QVC in particular—it's been my dream to have a cookbook about where I come from and what has brought me to this place. This cookbook is about the food and people who have influenced me the most. It's a glimpse into my private world and experiences. Most of these recipes have never been seen or eaten by anyone outside of my family.

My earliest memories are of times spent in the kitchen with my grandmother and the rest of my family. The kitchen and the delicious food that came out of it was a big part of my family's European heritage. I was taught by example that food is an expression of love. It's not just prepared to fill stomachs. It also warms the hearts of those we love the most: our family and friends.

I'm so happy to have this opportunity to pull my favorite recipes and tips together to share with you in this format. The cookbook is designed to be a useful tool; I've even designated an area on each recipe page for your notes. I've also included a shopping list for each recipe along with my comments and tips.

The recipes are perfectly suited for entertaining in any setting—from a small intimate dinner to a large party—and every type of gathering in between. The book is divided into four sections that follow the four seasons, with favorites included in each section that use the foods that are at the peak of their growing season. And of course they all have my special twist. As an additional personal touch, photos of the recipes are included in the book along with photos of my family and friends. It brings me great pleasure to share this cookbook with you. I truly hope you enjoy it.
