Keurig, Me & Everything in Between!

Mood: Excited.
In My Cup: Starbucks French Roast with some chocolate morsels in the bottom. Yum!
Hello there!
Happy Friday to you all! The sun’s shining and I’m looking forward to the weekend ahead. I’m so excited to be writing my VERY first blog post today and for the opportunity to talk to you all! You may have seen me over the past three years sharing my love and excitement of Keurig, but allow me to formally introduce myself! I’m Melissa Fleming; mom, wife, friend, and lover of all things QVC. QVC has been a part of my life for many, many years. My husband, Keith Epps, has been playing with toys and remote control cars with you since we were dating many moons ago.
Toys have made their way in and out of our home even before we were blessed with our five children. (Yep, five: there’s our 13-year-old daughter, Cassidy; 8-year-old twin girls, Chloe and Lily; and four-year-old twin boys, Brady and Cole.) They sure keep us on our toes! When the chance came to work with Keurig, QVC and one of my loves—coffee—I wanted someone to pinch me! It incorporated all the things I enjoy and an added bonus… a little ME time :).
One of my favorite parts of doing what I do is talking with all of you! I love reading the Community Forums on coffee and Keurig, and listening to all of your input on Facebook. (There’s Mary QVC, David Venable QVC, and now Melissa Fleming QVC.) Friend me, please!
I always come away with the best ideas for beverages and love hearing how you all "Keurig." Some of the favorites you have shared with us are the Cafe Escapes Milk Chocolate with marshmallow fluff topping, a new fave of the kiddies. Another new find is what I'm drinking right now, Starbucks French Roast with chocolate morsels. And I can't forget to mention Green Mountain Naturals Hot Apple Cider with some caramel sauce in the bottom of the cup. Delicious!
Some exciting news about brewers at QVC—our B79 Brewer is finally back in stock, with limited supply! This brewer has a rinse feature, hot water on demand, and is back this weekend. QVC has three great colors available in this brewer: black, cinnamon & platinum. And this offer comes with a bunch of your favorite K-Cups!
Check out all of our upcoming shows:
We’ll also showcase a bunch of great new K-Cups this weekend. Don't miss the K-Cups of the month: Green Mountain Coffee’s Half Caff, and Caribou Day Break. In addition to these, all of your favorite K-Cups are available now on QVC.com. And for the very first time ever we have Auto-Delivery on two of our popular K-Cups: Donut Shop by Coffee People (K37301) and Starbucks House Blend (K37293)! Now you’ll never be without your favorite K-Cups! And check out select Easy Pay offers as well :).
Well I’m off to spend the morning with our oldest daughter, Cassidy, at her school this morning. I hope this day is full of exciting possibilities for you and yours, and that you’ll join me this weekend! But as I leave you this morning, I’m curious… what's in your cup?
XO,
—Melissa Fleming

To all the Keurig owners having trouble with their brewers, I'd tried something a Keurig reviewer suggested and it really improved my brewer performance. I had tried the cleaning with vinegar and had no effect. One reviewer suggested taking off the reservoir, turning the brewer upsidedown and tapping it on the bottom a few times. I thought this was CRAZY, but I had gone from getting less than 1/2 a cup of coffee, to the brewer not even staying on long enough to get a cup. So I left my brewer off for about two weeks without using it, then did as the reviewer suggested and the thing actually works now! It stays on and actually brews almost a full cup of coffee. And its been working for about a week. It still keeps shutting off after each cup so I have to turn it back on to make a second cup, and I won't say its good as new, but it works enough to keep it from getting tossed out.

After going through 4 machines over the past 2 1/2 years, I've tried all sorts of troubleshooting ideas....but never heard of the upside down solution!

There are some helpful video clips at the Keurig website that suggest ways to maintain and "fix" issues with the brewers.

Ed & I bought the TSV last year & have had no trouble. The vinegar I'm aware of but we'll try that upside down thing. We use the rinse after we use the My K Cups too. As for faves? Too many to choose from. Ed & I have about 4 cups a day! Usually Breakfast Blend or Nantucket for Breakfast, Hazelnut or French Vanilla in between, Our K Cup later in the day & a Milk Chocolate for our low carb snack. We liked the Apple Cider too! Say HI to Mary & have a ball & a K Cup for me!

I am so addicted to my Keurig that normally I keep a new one boxed up for back up, just incase the one I am using stops working. But my neice threw such a fit over my Keurig that I gave it to her. When I can afford it, I will replace my spare!!

I love watching the Keurig demos except, it just KILLS me watching so many k-cups being brewed and wasted!!!! I feel like screaming STOP WASTING THOSE K-CUPS!!!!

I have to be real careful and limit my use because I can't afford to keep well stocked with k-cups.

My favorite is Green Mountain Double Black Diamond, I have to order it online because no retailers carry it. My son LOVES Donut Shop.

Didn't know about the video instructions at Keurig, I'll have to check it out, thanks for the tip. Would miss having my Timothy's Kahlua in the AM if my brewer stops working.

I stopped using my Platinum series (2nd one, replacement for defective one) months ago and went with CBTL "Americano" machine. It makes coffee, espresso and soon to be released hot chocolate. No problems so far, brews perfectly, not like the keurig, where the pumps draws water in but nothing comes out. And yes, I've descaled it many times, have two different machines (elite the other one) and I'm fed up with unreliabilty. Mind you, I've been a k- cup user since 2005-2006. Besides, I can use my 20% off coupons at BB&B when I need more capsules.

I'm wondering how to empty water from the Keurig when I am not using it for several days or weeks. The water reservoir can be emptied, but what about the water in the machine? How do you empty it?

Hi I'm Larri, yes that's a nickname. Anyway I bought my keurig last November on the Q right after Thanksgiving. No problems at all. I use bottled water and the filter that came with it. I know that's a little uptight, but we have hard water here. Anyway I'm wondering when the new Keurig Vue will be coming to QVC, it looks awesome and if you can believe it even better than the one we all have now!!! I found it by accident on a late night info-mercial is that spelled right, now, Larri don't get uptight about spelling. Anyway I'm now drinking Tully's house blend and loving it!!!!Smile

I love my Butter Toffee or Coconut Mocha with 2 spoons of creamer and 1 spoon of Splenda!

I really want to try one of these popular machines. I drink mostly black with a hazel nut kicker and I see that there are a bunch of choices. I must have my coffee in the morning.
