Love is in the air! Valentine's Day is right around the corner…can you believe it? You know, I saw results from a Zagat Survey that said 44% of couples are going out to eat this Valentine’s Day. And, the average couple is expected to spend $147 on their meal! Now, $147 isn't pocket change. And how do you know if the meal will even be worth it?
Well, we've got a better idea. This Wednesday on In the Kitchen with David – PM Edition, we're starting the first part of our two-part series on making a romantic (and downright delicious!) meal for your special someone right in your own kitchen. What's David's recipe? Watch the video!
Before I ask you your blog question, I wanted to give you a cookbook update! And, I wanted to thank you for all your cookbook title suggestions last week. You had some wonderful ideas! This week, as we start to dive deeper in the making of this book, it's time to think about which recipes I'd like to include (my editors tell me we're shooting for around 150!) As you could have guessed, some of my mother's (and grandmother's) best comfort food dishes have to go in this book, because my favorite memories were made in their North Carolina kitchens. The other shoo-in recipes, of course, are your favorites from In the Kitchen with David! The remaining recipes will be my personal favorites—the recipes I love and the dishes I've always wanted to re-create. Right now, I've got recipes and notes sprawled out all over my kitchen table. I'm pulling recipes right and left. (More is better, they tell me, so we can pick the best-of-the-best in the taste-testing stage.) The next step is to organize the recipes into sections.
