We arrived safe and sound yesterday afternoon. But, from the very moment we landed, it's been busy, busy, BUSY! There are so many preparations to be made for Sunday’s In the Kitchen with David show. But truth be told, I’m having a WONDERFUL time. In fact, just watch this special video Meredith Laurence and I filmed yesterday. It really gives you a taste for the FOOD & WINE Classic!

 






  

Already today I met our adorable sweepstakes winner Laura Baker and her boyfriend Brent. We also had lunch at this fabulous BBQ place called Hickory House Ribs. And let me tell you…I was in my GLORY. There’s nothing that makes this southern boy happier than fall-off-the-bone-tender ribs!

David’s Recipe” this Sunday is…a surprise! Thanks for all the voting you did this past week (for a red or white wine). “Food For Thought” this week focuses on the holiday at hand — Father’s Day! Not only are we celebrating the Aspen FOOD & WINE Classic this Sunday, but we’re also celebrating dads. Not sure how to make dad feel special? Maybe buy him brand-new barbecue tools. Or, why not take him to a baseball game? Or, what about turning your house into a man-cave for the day?! Tell him to invite his buddies over for cards or a Godfather marathon. Then, maybe surprise him with his favorite meal.

 

So here’s your blog question this week. Let’s say you are making dad dinner on Sunday. What are you making him? What is your dad, stepdad, father-in-law, or husband's all-time favorite dish?
