Resident Renaissance Man - Taste of the Month - June 2011

by on ‎06-16-2011 02:15 PM

Summer is finally here! As your Resident Renaissance Man, I plan on getting out and having all kinds of adventures these next few months. I’ve already spent some time at the shore, the lake, and of course, around the house. In fact, I’ve been working around some other houses as well. I took on a side job building out a spare room in my future in-laws' house. (For those looking for an "official" announcement, it's true, I'm engaged to the lovely Tracey!) It’s been a lot of fun getting back to the hard labor that I used to do on the side in Los Angeles. Though it may sound cheesy, I absolutely love to work a hard day of construction. It grounds me and can be good therapy when I need to center myself.

After a good day of work, I love to have a good meal. Those are the nights when I'm too tired to make anything from scratch, so I look to some of QVC’s easy-to-prepare entrees. One of my go-to brands is Corky’s, so I’m really glad that our June Food of the Month is from them! The order consists of three 2-lb. racks of ribs and 2 lbs. of pulled BBQ chicken.  Now, you may be familiar with Corky’s ribs, but the pulled BBQ chicken is very new to us at QVC, so you have to try it...it's so good!!! Both items are "heat and eat" no matter how you choose to prepare them. Please join me on my Facebook page to see some behind-the-scenes footage of Jimmy Stovall and me in the studio.

For the best tastes of the South, count on Corky’s and QVC!  Guten Apetit!
