April's Unmistakably Judith

Hi friends! I hope your April is off to a great start!  It’s been a long winter for everyone and I think we’re all ready for spring.

I just got back from Baselworld, which is the biggest international fine jewelry and watch show in the industry.  This year, there were over 150,000 visitors from all over the world.  The watch booths were especially incredible – they were two to three stories high and larger than many stores in Manhattan!

I was thrilled to be there with many members of my team.  Beth and I were in our couture booth where we met with some of our international customers.

I came back from this show feeling so inspired by all of the incredible stones that I saw.  I am ready to do lots of sketching – my mind is racing.  This year, the rubies, sapphires, and emeralds were everywhere.  I love the rich and regal look of these stones and their color and vibrancy.

This month’s Unmistakably Judith item is something I’m particularly enthusiastic about because it’s very on-trend this spring.  Part of my Verona Collection, it’s made in a style that originated in Italy in the 1920’s and has recently enjoyed a renaissance – tubogas.  A flexible band of smooth rounded spirals, tubogas pieces are produced with no soldering, and take their shape from gas pipes found in the earliest luxury Italian sports cars.

I’ve used tubogas in many of my new pieces this year.  It is so smooth and comfortable and I love the look of it, so I was pleased to see that it was so prevalent at Basel!  This necklace is the perfect example of the style.  It’s extremely flexible, chic, and the way that it moves is so graceful.  It will perfectly accentuate the necklines of your spring wardrobe.

And, you’ll love the color options — sterling, black rhodium plated, chocolate plated, 14K clad yellow or rose.

I hope you’ll take this piece and style it in your own way!  I’ve added a beautiful, oversized lobster claw clasp, so you can wear it with the claw in the back or in the front and clip on your favorite enhancer.  Show me your photos on Facebook and tell me how you’re welcoming spring in the comments below!

I’m looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks on our April 18th show.  Until then, be well, and get outside to enjoy the weather!

With love, Judith
