Dear Friends,

I always love this time of year, as it is a time to celebrate – to be festive, to enjoy your family, and to look forward to new beginnings.

As a designer and a visual person by nature, I am a firm believer that a pictures tell a thousand words.  So, in that spirit, I decided to use “modern day pictures,” a video, to share my holiday thoughts.

Every holiday season, I reflect on how much I have to be grateful for.  I am particularly grateful for your support and the support of great friends and fans.  And, I am very lucky to be able to call Oprah one of my fans.  The video below is from Oprah’s 2010 Favorite Things show in which she featured my Sterling Silver Eclipse Earrings as one of her “Favorite Things.”

Since that episode aired, the Eclipse Earrings have received tremendous press, and as you can imagine, they immediately became one of my best sellers.  Therefore, soon after this debut on Oprah, I decided to add this design to my QVC collection, so that all of you could enjoy Oprah’s favorite.  So, although these earrings are not new to my collection, they are one of my favorites and available at in CanaryPink Diamonique, and Black Diamonque

Moving on to the new and exciting designs for my December shows, the young women on my Public Relations team, Jessica and Emily, surprised me with their own “Hot Holiday Gift Picks” video.  Jessica and Emily quietly asked my Executive Assistant for my design journal, so that they would know which pieces were my favorites, and then combined that list with their own favorites to create this very fun, video blog.  They even snuck into my office and filmed it behind my desk.  Although the pieces are hard to see up close, the video gives you insight into how and why some of my new pieces are our favorites for this holiday season.

And, so that you can truly see how beautiful these pieces are in advance of my Thursday's shows, I have included images of them below.  I am most excited about this video, because every holiday season, one of the questions I receive most is:  What gift should I buy?  What is your hot holiday pick of the season?  I hope you enjoy this video, and please make sure to let me know what your favorite Judith Ripka piece of jewelry is and what you think would make a great holiday gift.  I always think that we get the best ideas from each other, so I am hoping that everyone will  share their favorites in the comment section below this post.  (I really do read everyone’s comments!)

My top “hot holiday picks” are my new TSV pieces, J274840, the Country Link Bracelet or Necklace with Removeable Heart Charm.  The custom hand-cast lobster claw and heart charm, as well as the Rhodium finish, give this piece the feel of true luxury and the look of platinum or 18k white gold jewelry.  And, even though this piece embodies many of my signature elements and is a timeless classic, it also features my newest texture on the oversized lobster claw, my braided berge.  For those of you who want the perfect classic chain, this necklace is for you, and if you love to stack cuffs and bracelets, I know you will enjoy this bracelet which is very versatile and will layer beautifully with every bracelet in your jewelry box.

I also love the two Milky Aqua pieces that Jessica and Emily featured in the video blog, the Sterling Milky Aqua Bead Necklace (J274740), with coordinating earrings (J277334).  The perfect pop of color, this necklace is a great statement piece that will also become a wardrobe classic for you, as the Milky Aqua hue feels neutral, as it compliments grays, blacks, browns, taupes, and more.  The earrings embody a look for understated elegance, and, like Jessica said in the video blog, these two pieces look exquisite when worn as a pair, and not too “matchy matchy.”

Lastly, I want to highlight my new Teardrop Earrings (J276282), because although Jessica and Emily did not feature it in the video blog, I think that this earring is a great holiday earring with movement and glamour.  What I love most about these earrings is the detail and filigree work giving them a classic, deco Estate look and feel, which combined with the oversized tear drop shape balances this look, so that it is also has a very fashion-forward, festive feel.  I know you will enjoy wearing them this holiday season!

So, please make sure you tune in to my upcoming December shows which kick off on Thursday, December 13 at midnight with my TSV.  I will be on-air with Rick from 12midnight until 1am, then my gorgeous daughter-in-law, Allison will take over from 1am to 2am.  My son, Brian, will be on air from 3 - 4am, and then Allison will return from 10am to 12noon.  I will be back on air on from 2 -4pm, 6 - 8pm, and ending the year with my dear friend, Lisa Robertson, from 10pm to midnight

Thank you again for all of your support this past year.  I wish each and every one of you a very happy and healthy holiday season.

With much love,

Judith
