Hi everyone – It’s Allison Ripka again!

Happy early July 4th!  I know that it's about time that I started my own blog, but the news that I have is so exciting that I needed to post it ASAP.  If you've been hearing rumors about Judith designing a new watch with a silicone strap, I am here to say – IT'S TRUE!

One day, while I was having lunch with Judith, I suggested that we create the perfect summer watch – fun, fashionable, fabulous, and of course beach and pool ready!  A watch that you can look and feel good in, but not worry that you are going to damage it in the sun or surf.

So, Judith went to work, and what came out of our collaboration was and still is beyond my wildest watch dreams.  It is bold, bright, playful, and  distinctively Judith Ripka.

This first-ever silicone strap watch from Judith Ripka marries Judith’s stunning textures with one of the latest trends in high-tech timekeeping.  The silicone straps are as colorful and fun as they are durable.  The straps are impervious to UV rays, chemicals, and moisture.  Silicone has taken its place alongside the newest materials in luxury watches such as ceramic and titanium.  The strap features Judith’s stunning bergé and rope texture combination, which then carries over to the 3ATM water resistant steel case.  Since the silicone strap is produced by heat-stamping, the tooling was hand-engraved by jewelers to ensure that the beautiful textures were exactly duplicated onto the strap.  It is great to have a watch that I can wear without worry – a beach watch with style!  I have a feeling you are going to want it in every color, because I know I do!

Hundreds of hours were spent refining the molds until the results achieved Judith’s high quality standard, and since I was part of the conception, Judith wanted me to be the one to debut this special piece during Lisa Robertson’s PM Style show on July 9th from 7 - 10pm EST.
