THANKS + GIVING

by on ‎11-08-2011 07:27 PM

THANKS to you all for tuning into my shows in October and for GIVING me your wonderful suggestions in response to my October blog. Due to the many enthusiastic requests, echoed by those of you I have met in the last weeks, I have already sent my sketch of the Asher Pumpkin, which I featured in my last blog, to the factory, so that it can be made into a charm.  I also designed additional unique charms for each holiday next year, starting with Valentine’s Day, which will nicely complement the new charm necklace that I am in the process of designing.  I have very much enjoyed creating these new pieces, as it feels wonderful to be able to satisfy your requests and customize jewelry for you.  It is one of my greatest joys.

For those of you who have patiently waited for a larger jewelry box, your patience will be rewarded in December, as I am pleased to announce that, after almost a year of designing and then re-engineering it, it will be ready for sale.   It is significantly larger, and I have tried to keep the price as reasonable as possible.  I am excited to present this item, and even more excited to hear your feedback, as this has been one of the most highly requested items in the history of my being on QVC.

Speaking of highly requested items, during my upcoming November shows, I will be showcasing my signature Monaco Ring in Turquoise, J156568.  I am pleased to share it with all of you, as it is one of those pieces that turned out to be even more beautiful in person than I could have imagined.  The shade of turquoise is one of the most exquisite I have seen, and the Diamonique pave framing makes the color pop even more.  Judith Ripka Sterling Gemstone & Diamonique Monaco Ring

Another exciting debut will be my first time offering of yellow gold clad bangles as part of the Group J265086, which are my 14K Gold Plated Textured Round Bangles.  I first launched my “skinny” bangles set back in August, and due to their popularity, I thought that these skinny textured bangles would be a nice addition, as they are great for stacking.

Last but definitely not least, I am pleased to offer my new Gemstone Oval Earrings, J264598, as they are inspired by my18k Couture Ambrosia earrings, which are a favorite of mine.  It is always fun when I can translate my Couture designs into sterling silver and present them to you through QVC.

I would also like to thank my local neighborhood bookstore, Archivia Books, for prominently featuring my book, Judith Ripka by Judith, F09485, in the window and in-store.  I had such a warm, wonderful feeling walking into the store and seeing such a beautiful display.  Also, I have enjoyed reading your five star reviews of it which has made the effort of producing it so rewarding, and I love that you have let me know that you love it so much that you are giving it as a gift this holiday.

With the holidays right around the corner, I am sure that all of you are very busy thinking about family, Thanksgiving meals and holiday travel.   I hope that you will still find time to tune in to my November shows on November 11 from 11pm to midnight, November 12 from 4pm to 6pm and November 13 from 8pm to 10pm.  And, as all of you know, I am a wife and Mom first and a jewelry designer second, so I thought I would share one of my family’s favorite Thanksgiving recipes with you, the Perfect Turkey Panini.  I make it for Ron and the boys the day after Thanksgiving with the leftovers, and it is delicious if I do say so myself!

Judith’s Perfect Turkey Panini

  • 1 ciabatta bread

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 medium garlic cloves, minced

  • Leftover turkey (the best part!)

  • 2 slices of swiss cheese

  • ½ cup slice, drained canned roasted red peppers

Cut bread into two five-inch pieces, and slice them open lengthwise.  Spread olive oil on the top halves, and sprinkle garlic over the oil.  Place turkey on the bottom halves.  Place roasted red peppers over the turkey and then swiss cheese over the red peppers.  Heat a large, nonstick skillet over medium heat, and spray with olive oil spray.  Add the paninis, and press down with a lid.  If you do not have a lid, you can use the bottom of a smaller skillet.  Cook for three minutes.  Turn them over, and press with a lid.  Cook another three minutes.  Serves two.

OK, I have to admit that this recipe is so tasty that Ron often asks me to make it for him year round!

Looking forward to heading back to the Q soon, and please tune in to my November shows.

Until then, with love,

Judith
