Hello from Las Vegas!!

by on ‎06-01-2008 04:28 PM

Bill, my husband, Susan, my right hand, and I are all busy working our booth at the JCK Las Vegas Show, the largest jewelry trade show in the country! We designed our booth to give our buyers the sense of being surrounded by the beauty of the Grand Canyon. It is quite different from the sleek hi tech booths we are surrounded by in the StyleMakers Pavilion, but it truly expresses the essence of our company and our design philosophy. We are proud to design and craft our jewelry in the American southwest, and to capture the colorful, casually elegant lifestyle we so love. Those who step inside our “canyon” seem to take a deep breath and relax.

And how exciting it is to be a part of QVC's Global Jewelry Fest this week, with Southwestern jewelry shows on June 2nd and a Global Jewelry celebration on June 4th! It is wonderful to present our American made items in a celebration of jewelry made from all over the world and to see some of my favorite jewelry guests, including Peyton Kelley, who truly travels the world to bring rare and diverse designs to our QVC collectors.
It is as if you all had the opportunity to walk the vast aisles of the JCK show and choose from the finest jewelry the world has to offer!

Southwestern jewelry is truly the original American jewelry. The people of the southwest have cherished turquoise as an adornment since prehistoric times, and silver has been used in southwestern jewelry for over 200 years! Our current southwestern designs incorporate traditional design elements and color along with ancient symbolism, for timeless beauty and significance.

In celebration of the incredible talent of Native American artists, Bill, Susan and I spent a day over Memorial weekend at the Native Treasures Indian Arts Festival on Santa Fe's Museum Hill. It is always a treat to spend time with such gifted artists, learning about their techniques, and more importantly, discovering a little about their soul as they share their inspiration and passion that comes to life in their awesome art. We enjoyed seeing some of our old friends, as well as getting to know some new, emerging award winning designers. We are excited to announce that we will be working to bring some of these wonderful individuals and their unique designs to our QVC collectors in the months ahead. I will keep you posted!

Finally, I look forward to our next Sincerely Southwest event on June 19th. It seems like it has been forever since we celebrated our 5th Anniversary on March 9th! I hope you are all enjoying your pieces, and are ready to add to you collection! We will be introducing three new collections, as well as many new pieces to existing collections! Each of these collections is truly special, and one features a stone we have never used before! In fact, all of our Sincerely Southwest shows this year will introduce bold, colorful gemstones we have never before featured. Mother Nature continues to spoil us!

I hope you will be joining us this month!
Sincerely,
Carolyn
