Happy Spring!

Wow, April has been busy! It's been a blast celebrating our upcoming 20th Anniversary of Southwestern Jewelry by returning to our roots...1:00am, this time every Tuesday! I have been bouncing back and forth between Albuquerque and West Chester, with my last few days in New Mexico spent with our QVC video crew! As always, we had a great time. The first day was spent traveling up my favorite stretch of National Scenic By-way, the Turquoise Trail!! This is the road that Bill and I travel every day. It runs along the east side of the Sandia Mountains, all the way from Interstate 40 to Santa Fe. Along the way we visited some of my favorite spots.

We traveled north to Madrid, which was once a bustling coal mining town, and is now a colorful, quirky artist community. It was most recently showcased as the primary location for the John Travolta movie, Wild Hogs. As you drop into the canyon where Madrid is nestled, and see the snowcapped Sangre de Christo Mountains beyond Santa Fe, it is just breathtaking! Further up the road is Cerrillos, a town once full of miners who extracted gold, silver, lead, zinc and turquoise from area mines at its peak in the 1880's. We visited Broken Saddle Ranch, where my friend Harold let us spend the morning with the most beautiful horse named Harley. The vistas from the Cerrillos hilltops are awesome!

The next day we headed to Santa Fe, and were greeted with one of the many things I love about New Mexico...its changing weather. Santa Fe was being blanketed by a fresh, glistening spring snowfall! It was a good thing that we had the cozy comfort of the historic La Fonda Hotel to call our headquarters for the day! And by the afternoon we were able to venture out onto the plaza, along historic Palace Ave. and around the corner to St. Francis Cathedral.

Friday was a great day of celebration for everyone at Relios!!! The QVC crew spent most of the day capturing all of the processes that our amazing craftspeople so skillfully perform in creating our jewelry. You will soon see first hand many of your favorite items being designed, developed and produced...including the Today's Special Value for May 6th!!! At the end of the day we all gathered for a group photo and celebration. I have to admit, seeing everyone so enthusiastically gathered together truly brought tears of joyful pride to my eyes. It is due to the dedication and talent of so many that we are able to celebrate 20 wonderful years of
Southwestern Jewelry on QVC! Most importantly, we all thank YOU, our collectors, for your support and enthusiasm! I hope you all will be able to join us in 10 hours of colorful celebration on May 4th, 5th, and 6th!

Love,
Carolyn
