THANK YOU !!! WHEW....

Hello all of you who watched and shopped and called and helped make my March 16th such a fun day. Selling out the TSV by noon was such an exciting thing for all of the QVC company and my little staff as well. What was so fascinating to us behind the scenes, was how the heart and the cross were selling equally well all the time, running neck to neck, 50/50 up to the last hour or so. I love all the callers who were able to make it through to me, (I didn't realize it was such a tricky thing to do!!!). We were also pleased to be able to find a US contractor who could make the completed, original chain necklace for me and it was also nice to realize so many of you appreciate the fine silver work from Thailand and know it to be a sign of quality.
The entire discussion of where my staff produces my jewelry is always nerve wracking and challenging to read on the forums, but I have also charged my crew with the very difficult task of trying harder to find manufacturers in the USA who can give us the same quality and price that we are able to get overseas. Without that, we would actually not be able to even sell on QVC at all!
I wanted to shout out to a few of you jewelry forum ladies who have really made an impression on me lately:
MERRYWOOD, you seem to have become the official forum welcome wagon lady, your spirit is so unbelievably positive and joy-filled. I love reading everything you write, and the passion you exhibit. You are an inspiring soul!!
DM Tiara, What a smarty you are, so well informed and grounded in reality. I appreciate your phenomenal support and all the poetic writing that you give us; very needed information as well as the ability to bring sudden order and calm to sticky situations.
WINAN, talk about poetry! your description of my new nautilus necklace rivals anything I have ever said on air!! Thanks for your gracious and supportive posts, and comments.
Gypsy Dog, I need to react to your statement that people are paying more for my name....you have no idea how tight we shave our margins in order to bring the best possible prices to QVC. In some cases we actually do not make anything at all due to a sudden rise in silver prices or the sudden rise in labor costs from a contractor!!! Do not think because I am a designer brand that I charge more...that maybe true in other
luxury products in the world, but usually built into the selling price of prestige brands is the cost of global advertising, packaging and the overhead of all the luxurious retail stores that they build. RLM Studio does not have any of those costs and so we do not have to amortize them into our prices.
BUNNYCAT Thank you for the comment on how so many of my basic pendant chains are lackluster and common. I agree. From now on we are beginning a new search for more American made chains that are new and exciting. Actually all the chains we use are almost always from chain makers in the USA.
Pat 22, Sammycat, TxJewel, and so many more of you who are either long time collectors of my work or new comers, thank you for your thrilling enthusiasm and the clarity and credibility you help bring to the forum and ultimately to me and my work.
Blessings on you all,
Robert Lee
