I have been following your letters and suggestions as best I can while under heavy design pressure. We are as a team, building my ten year anniversary... spread out over many months for QVC, and I will have many more hours on air than expected, and of course those hours need new fabulous product...FAST! This past week I had to design nearly 70 new items...What a fun challenge for me, but one thing I am focusing on is incorporating much more color in every way. Gemstones will be showing up in original new ways that make sense with my design philosophy of pure, clean and simple.
So how does an artist get refreshed after such an explosion of
new designs and ideas? Is it sleep? Is it to do something totally different to take my mind to a new place altogether? Normally I would zip off to my land in New Mexico and recharge in the wilderness, but I just can't get away now. So what I do is turn my attention to major moments in history and culture, and after just watching a movie on the Mayans I became so inspired by the design elements of their culture I wanted to share one image with you to show how powerful the inspirational charge for me was. As complex a design this is, the Mayan Calendar, I dive deeply into it and dissect small parts and they drive my designs. That along with imagery from Ancient Inca, Egyptian, Celtic and on an on, cultures have always been the foundation of my artistic make-up.
ANYWAY, I AM ABOUT TO PRESENT A KILLER TSV!!! As midnight turns March 13-14 and I know you will love it...it is so clean and pure and magical like a fairy tale in modern times...this item will be so good for the times we live in!!!! Pat 22, your are on your way to recovery and your son is in the college of his choice!!!! Hooray, I know your friends have been holding you in their hearts. These are good, good things.
