Getting Back to You

Did you watch the Golden Globes? WOW, the important necklaces and the large dangle earrings were on almost all of the top stars. The two that really caught my eye were the 200 carat diamond platinum necklace and the fabulous turquoise and diamond bib necklace. Several also had either multiple thin bracelets stacked up or big, bold bangles.

The last few blogs have been about the QVoyager and I hope you enjoyed the shows. I want to concentrate now on your comments and questions. Thank you, Usamarsha for the question about chemicals in the jewelry box/storage keepers that we sell here at QVC. I reached out to Lori Greiner and this is what she said:

“I can only speak for my Silver Safekeeper line of anti-tarnish jewelry boxes. The Silver Safekeeper's do not have toxic elements in them. They have natural elements in them that are more attractive to sulfur molecules than your silver jewelry is. They draw the sulfur in the environment (which is what causes tarnishing) into the fabric as opposed to your jewelry and that is how it keeps silver pieces from tarnishing. There is nothing from our fabric that would get absorbed into your jewelry. There is nothing that would go from your jewelry to your skin. I highly recommend the Silver Safekeepers for storing your jewelry and recommend a polishing cloth to clean a tarnished piece of jewelry.”

Checking in on the Judith Ripka Forum, it looks like everything is pretty positive. Fillefroid, I am glad you are happy with your Judith Ripka charms and other pieces and I have passed along your request for additional charms. It is a great suggestion to feature at least one charm during each of Judith's visits. Grooviechickie, I am sorry that you had problems with your suite of Turquoise jewelry. The factory has worked very hard to make sure this doesn't happen ever again. Your comments and specific J numbers went straight to the owners. Please keep me posted about any problems going forward.

Thank you, 3-M for the wonderful comments. Please tune in on February 4 for Silver Marketplace and call in and say hello. Saint Louis Gal, I truly believe that we should buy ourselves presents and it looks like you did good. Ind55, I have spoken to the buyer about the color of the blue sapphires and she is working with Judith on colors going forward. By the way, I was in New York City on Saturday for a black tie jewelry dinner and stopped by Judith's Madison Avenue Boutique. Her husband, Ron, was wonderful and loaned me his personal gold and diamond Judith Ripka studs and cufflinks to wear. I felt like a million bucks.

I also wanted to think all of you that commented on the Vienna Diamonique jewelry. Most were extremely positive and I'm glad many of you bought SiSi's Star Ring. That was one of my favorites. A special thank you to fivekatz for your wonderful comments. I agree the sapphire rings are spectacular.

Please send me your comments and questions. I will try to answer as many as possible on-air during Silver Market Place on February 4.

Take care, Peyton
