California Gold Rush!

Eight must haves for 2008. What a great way to describe the direction for the 21st anniversary California Gold Rush... Our gold buyers, Jeanne and Christina, have put together an incredible selection of brand-new designs all on sale in celebration of this event. Please refer to my Pre-California Gold Rush blog for more on the history of the California Gold Rush of 1848.

The eight must have looks for 2008 include some of the hottest product I have ever seen in fine jewelry. I just returned from the Vicenza Jewelry Show and all of these looks are right on. Some of the most famous jewelry designers in America are featuring Animal Jewelry. The crocodile hoop earrings are so fun and even have ruby eyes. Chocolate Gold continues to be important because of the importance of brown and khaki in fashion. There is a great rolo bracelet that has this deep rich color.

The must haves continue with Station Necklaces. There is a really fun necklace with rich golden pearls that I like. There is also a very sweet, romantic necklace with six pink hearts. It would be great for yourself or a loved one.

Gold and Cultured Pearls are seen in many fashion ads and on runways. A perfect example of this is seen in a beautiful linear earring that is in a choice of chocolate or white pearls. Gems and Gold can be bold and out there or more refined and delicate. There is a gorgeous citrine pendant in the sale that glows like a yellow diamond.

Hoops continue to be hot. A great set of hoops in the sale are a triple row of gold in a very stylish oval shape. These will be extremely flattering. Textures are very important this year as seen in the Diamond Cut items like this two tone sea leaf pendant. Big and Bold can be seen throughout the day, but a great example is this woven bracelet.

There are so many other fabulous pieces during the day. I hope you have a great time shopping during California Gold Rush. There are so many beautiful pieces of jewelry to choose from. Write and let me know what your favorite pieces are.

Take care, Peyton
