A Sparkling, Stackable, Sculpture-Filled Summer

Hello everyone. Can you believe it is already July? This summer is really flying by, and I hope that you are all creating your own special memories. I think that it is so important to take time to enjoy the beautiful weather. Ron and I have been doing just that.

I always say that if I did not spend my life creating jewelry, I would be making sculptures. There is something very moving about giant, life-size pieces and I especially love when they are outdoors. Because my jewelry is scaled so differently, creating giant sculptures would give me a new sense of freedom.

This summer, Ron and I have been lucky enough to spend time with some spectacular outdoor sculptures, which whets my appetite and inspires my creativity. Earlier this month, we visited our friends’ property, which has twenty-three acres of land filled with amazing outdoor pieces.

Do you remember when the roof of the Metropolitan Museum in New York was covered with a bamboo sculpture installation? During summer 2010, an exhibit called “Big Bambú: You Can’t, You Don’t, and You Won’t Stop” literally turned the rooftop into a jungle. Our friends loved it so much that they decided to have a piece of it installed at their home among many other special pieces.

This sculpture is made up entirely of individual letters. It looks so elegant next to all of the trees.

Ron liked the bamboo piece so much that he climbed up and took a seat.

The picturesque weekend at our friends’ was just a warm-up for one of my all-time favorite moments of summer – the Fourth of July. There is no holiday quite like it and we celebrated with wonderful company in a stunning location.

Look familiar? This is from the same artist as the silver sculpture above.

The hostess looked fantastic in a pair of our earrings.

Fresh cut flowers are nice – but life-size rose sculptures are truly sensational. Notice the ladybug, one of my favorite symbols of life and love.

Yours truly.

Looking at beautiful pieces of art is one of my favorite ways to get inspired. These swimmers are magnificent.

The holiday weekend ended with a bang – literally. The fireworks were brilliant and reminded me of how excited I am for the newest Today’s Special Value item and some of our other exceptional new pieces.

I am delighted to introduce the “Fleur” earring, a part of the Double Brilliance Collection featuring 118 facet DIAMONIQUE, which is a new design feature cut by Swarovski solely for me. It is no secret that I love iconic pieces with unexpected details but these are very unique. Each of the stones in these sparkling studs is lasered with my signature and they will literally catch every single glimmer of light in a room. Combining mesmerizing beauty and easy elegance, they can go from black tie to blue jeans and everything in between. They are perfect for travel and for less than $69 - $79, they are entirely accessible. But, keep an eye on these – your daughter, sister or even your mother may try to borrow them.

When it comes to parties and stackable jewelry, I have the same mantra – the more the merrier. Of course, cuffs and rings are go-to pieces but what I love even more is when they are stackable.

Say hello to the 118 Facet DIAMONIQUE pave cuff and ring. Both of these dazzling pieces are available in sterling silver, blackened silver, rose gold clad and yellow gold clad. Stack your arm with these cuffs and give your hand the same special treatment with the rings.

Remember to take a break from your summer parties and picnics and catch me on my upcoming shows on July 12 from midnight–2am, 3–5am, 3–5pm, and 8pm–10pm.

With love,

Judith
