Every time there's an Honora TSV it brings back memories of my very first TSV kickoff! I wrote this blog back in June, and it's so fun to look back and read it again

It's a big milestone for me...my first TSV kickoff! As we greet a new day at QVC, we usher in an exciting new item and spotlight it all day. And for my first kickoff, I can't think of anything more exciting than jewelry! It's a passion of mine and has been forever. I love that a simple piece can make a woman feel special, feel beautiful. And pearls have been doing that for us for hundreds of years! I'd always wanted to visit the Honora Pearls team on their home turf, and so this was the perfect time to go. Gabby and I boarded a train and headed to NYC to visit Ralph, Jennie and Joel at their offices.

The trio welcomed us with open arms at their headquarters, showing us around and even taking us into the "vault" where piles of precious pearls in all colors, shapes and sizes waited for their destinations. Joel, Ralph and Jennie took time to explain to Gabby the fascinating process by which pearls are formed and harvested. And you could really see Ralph light up when talking about the Ming Pearl (a QVC customer favorite, too!)...check out the picture of him showing Gabby a tour of a Ming piece. By the time he was done describing it to Gabby she was officially a huge fan! Like mother, like daughter.

 Ralph was so kind to explain to Gabby how unique the Ming pearl is and how it gets its gorgeous natural color. Gabby is hooked now!

To be honest, though: my favorite part of the trip had nothing to do with pearls. We had lunch at a local deli and spent more time laughing that we did eating. I'm so glad Gabby got to see yet again that the biggest benefits I get from my job are the opportunities to meet amazing, passionate, driven, and wonderfully caring people that love what they do too.
