The Wonder of The Holidays

Is it really that time again? Holidays? Do you feel the same? Can someone tell me where the year went? For many, like me, the wonder of the holidays means spending lots of time wondering what to get people on your gift list. Well this year, I’m determined to get a head start and turn that “wonder-time” into true holiday wonder and maybe some peace of mind. So like a kid in search of holiday candy I peeked at some of the things that the QVC buyers have in store. I found great gift ideas and was pleased to see that even at the holidays, good things still come in three’s; choices of 3 sizes, 3 colors and even 3 styles. That’s enough choice to help us “wow” the trendiest fashionista on our list! Here’s what I found:

All fashion followers know that this year’s “must-have” accessory comes in shades of rose-colored metal. Since the launch of Bronzo Italia, QVC viewers have been treated to this important trend. Some of the benefits of Bronzo Italia is that being nickel-free these pieces are kinder to sensitive skin, they’re tarnish resistant to stay looking great and, most importantly, they create the look of precious rose gold items without the gold price.  This holiday, you can treat the those trendsetters on your list to a highly wearable and fashion-forward pair of Bold Round Hoop Earrings (J271865) in a choice of 3 sizes: 1 inch, 1 ½ inches or a large 2 inch version.

For the glamour goddess on your list, one of our favorite designers, Judith Ripka, is featuring a gorgeous earring based upon her popular “Monaco” style (You may have seen her wear these in Vogue’s “25 to Watch” piece). They create major impact! Set in sterling with the hottest trend right now, blackened rhodium plating, which highlights the gems, these earrings come in 3 sophisticated color palettes: Champagne Quartz mixed with Diamonique simulated pink tourmalines, Ginger Quartz placed against brown Diamonique simulated diamonds, or Mint Quartz framed in Diamonique simulated emeralds. These earrings (J266172) contain an impressive 8.50 cttw of gemstones for major red-carpet style.

I know that Affinity Diamond ladies look forward to “The Holiday Ring”. The yearly design dilemma is that one style simply can’t fit everyone’s taste. Here’s the solution! A selection of 3 styles! These rings (J274389) are all set into 14K gold and offer an impressive 1.00 cttw of sparkling genuine diamonds!

For vintage lovers, the Art Deco design is set into a chic mix of rose and white gold. The ring showcases pave-set round diamonds punctuated by 4 semi-bezel set tapered baguettes around the “north-south” orientation. If she covets today’s popular 3-stone-ring styling but likes large presence, the cluster technique on this new holiday style provides impressive size with augmented sparkle because of the number of diamonds. For those who desire a round and baguette diamond mix, there’s a multi-row curved design classic cocktail style with an abundant row upon row of prong set round diamonds framing set channels of baguettes. All rings feature additional diamonds set on the shoulders for maximum presence. All three will be available on November 1st on qvc.com!

This season I promised myself to be prepared and not wait until the last minute and I’ve already found some great solutions. I’m hoping that this will take the wonder-time out of my holidays and replace my holiday worry, with real holiday wonder. What about you?

Hi Michael! I have already started shopping! I like to be done early and spread the expense out, so I can relax and enjoy the Holidays. QVC always helps me get a jump start! I tried the Bronzo Italia in the watch with the white leather strap and love it! I wear it with an old pair of tri-colored gold hoops and makes them feel so fresh and new. I'm always looking forward to the new Affinity pieces for the Holidays and make sure that I put a favorite piece on my QVC Wish List for my husband shopping list. Smile

Hi Michael I have a special request. I bought the Holiday 3 stone ring and its gorgeous. I cant stop looking at it. The design is amazing as it really does look like 3 individual stones. The stones in my ring are white and bright and lovely. This is my request. I was appalled at how my ring came packaged. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure that when you send out a ring of this caliber and cost that it comes with a beautiful box for presentation and storage, not a plastic bag. PLEASE do something about this. while I love my ring and will keep it for many years I was disappointed in the presentation when I opened my QVC package. You KNOW I"m right. Diamonds do NOT belong in plastic bags!!

This ring is gorgeous just completely lovely. Thank you for that. I look forward to seeing beautiful boxes sent with your jewelry from now on.

Hi Michael, This looked like the best way to get in contact with you. I recently purchased the blude diamond tennis bracelet for a big birthday of mine. I am confused that the tips of the prongs seem to be dipped in rhodium giving an illusion of two black lines framing the diamonds. It makes the bracelet look somewhat dark. This is not in the picture or description of the item. Michael O'Conner, are you out there? Could you answer this question. I am trying to decide whether I will keep this or not, and would like to. Thanks so much.
