I had the pleasure of joining Barry Ort, Vice President of the Kenneth Jay Lane Company and a few of my colleagues for an evening of fun at the Creative Coalition’s Inaugural Gala in Washington DC.
It was a night of celebration and music. Entertainment figures like Tim Daly, Melissa Leo, Taraji P. Henson, David Arquette and Alfre Woodard were there, and the Goo Goo Dolls performed live. We even ran into a few familiar friends like Chaz Dean and Cherie Christmas.
In the VIP gift bags, celebrities and special guests received the gorgeous Presidential Pearl Necklace designed by Ken... Continue Reading

I have to admit an afternoon of shopping is always on my list when I arrive. It's so fun to hit the antique stores and finding a heirloom I can' t resist... Stopping by to share my Ma’s Apple Pie recipe with you – in case you still need a Thanksgiving dessert.
It's incredible – if I do say so myself! :-) When my sisters and I were very young, my Italian immigrant parents knew nothing of Thanksgiving, turkeys, pilgrims and apple pie. We had an apple tree in our back yard though and one of our neighbors taught my mom how to make this pie – in exchange for some of our apples. It was a WIN-WIN! Over the years, my mom has refined the recipe into the one I share with you toda... Continue Reading

Thanksgiving is tomorrow and I'm reminded of my childhood in Michigan. It's comforting the way holidays take you back to those times. :) I used to wake up to the smell of Pillsbury cinnamon rolls baking in the oven (they never came with enough frosting though) They were so doughy and melt-in-your-mouthy. Mom always bought several tins bc we all feasted on 3 or 4 per person. And we'd watch the Detroit Thanksgiving Day parade (if I didn't sleep in and miss it. Why r parades always on so early?) And it was fun bc on commercial breaks, we'd toggle through all the other stations and watch... Continue Reading

Is it really that time again? Holidays? Do you feel the same? Can someone tell me where the year went? One of the greatest opportunities I've had with QVC is being able to do the "Live From Vicenza" remotes from Italy for the past 15 years. Did I ever tell you how I lucked in to that? I'd only been with QVC for a couple years (and was very new by the company's standards) when QVC decided to try this new concept of doing a show live from Italy.
