First, let me be honest and share with you that every day in the past few weeks, my excitement is escalating, and I can't wait for next week's show…

It has been over 4 years since I started to develop the concept of Or Paz. Since we went on air for the first time 3 years ago, it has been a wonderful journey for my designers and for me. The love and warm feedbacks I receive from you all, keep me motivated and creative. There is no doubt that conceiving and designing new collections is what I am most passionate about!

It all started around the holidays of last year when while I was driving for a family weekend. I received a call from QVC buyer and was asked to develop and design an amazing piece of jewelry that was going to be the first Or Paz' "Today Special Value". After working with QVC for over 12 years, I knew this meant that this collection would have to be special and exquisite, more than ever before.

As often happens - big things start from the little things… Coincidently, on that day, we were on our way to the Dead Sea. As you all know, the Dead Sea is the deepest point on earth. When driving down there, one must cross a series of yellow desert mountains. When the Dead Sea suddenly appears in the horizon, the sight of its greenish-blue color is simply breathtaking. No wonder it was nearly nominated one of the world's 7 wonders. The Dead Sea is also one of the richest places in the world when it comes to natural minerals. While I was driving in the car, watching the landscape change from modern urban city, through the mountains of Jerusalem, to the Judea desert, I was finely struck by the beauty and magic of the Dead Sea. Right there and then I decided to design a piece of jewelry with 4 different textures that are woven together with gem stones, to reflect the amazing beauty of the Dead Sea.

I can tell you that the process of creating the model took months as the designing practice was extremely complex. I had a very solid concept in mind and I needed to materialize it perfectly. I wanted to create a dimensional cuff that is made of different wires and textures. I wanted to create an exceptionally fresh piece that has never been seen before. At the same time, it was important for me to follow my commitment to creating timeless pieces of jewelry for you to enjoy for years!  Taking an idea and translating it to metal was a true challenge that only the finest Artisans in Israel could handle. And they did – skillfully and beautifully!

I'm not allowed to tell any more details so I leave the rest for the show. I can only assure you that we have many more surprises for next week's festive show and the new magnificent turquoise collection is just one example, along with the new Labradorite collection, Brand new Or Paz watch…ok, got to stop!
