Saving the best for last

Dear Friends,

I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving.  There are so many things for which I am grateful, and one of the most important is all of you.  You are my support, my encouragement and of course, my inspiration.   Thank you.

I wanted to start this blog with a very special thank you for those Ripkanistas who met in New York on Saturday, November 19 and visited me at my Flagship store.  I greatly appreciate you bringing your positive cheer and camaraderie to usher in this holiday season.  I enjoyed meeting all of you, some for the first time, and of course for some, a cheerful reunion.  It was my pleasure to spend time with you, exchange stories, learn your requests and toast each other with champagne.  I hope we can do it again soon.  And, should any of you be in New York City this Saturday, December 3, I will be hosting my annual Holiday Luncheon at my Flagship store from 12:30pm to 3:30pm.  If you would like to attend, please call (212) 244-1230 x214 to RSVP.

As I reflect on the past year, I am very proud of all of the new designs I have brought to you.  And, as I look forward my upcoming December shows, my last QVC shows of 2011, I can say without reservation that I saved the best for last.  My December shows will be a thoughtfully curated collection of new items, a re-introduction of old favorites and a debut of the most requested item to date, the long awaited Jewelry Box, H194689.  I am very excited to present it to you, as I know many of you have been patiently waiting for it.  I share it with great joy, as we have finally perfected it.  This Burlwood Mahogany finished jewelry box has many hidden features and is a great size for those of you who are collectors and have been requesting a larger box.  For those of you Ripka design lovers, it is adorned with custom sterling silver hardware.  Thank you again for waiting so patiently.  I hope you enjoy it.

Speaking of most requested items, when I blogged last month about the new Turquoise Monaco Ring, there was a surge of pre-order sales, which resulted in the ring being sold out before it was ever aired.  I apologize to all of you who wanted it, but waited to see it on air.  I have already asked QVC to immediately re-order this ring and bring it back soon,  I want those of you who missed out on it to have the opportunity to order it and enjoy it.  Similarly, I fear that the jewelry box, which has been by far the most requested item will have the same fate.  Therefore, for those of you have been waiting for the jewelry box with great anticipation, I would suggest pre-ordering it, as I cannot guarantee that it will make it to airtime.  I rarely say these types of things, however I do not want any of you to be disappointed if it is on your wish list.

One of my favorite new December debuts is my Diamonique Station Necklace, J265385.  This piece epitomizes my "classic with a modern twist" philosophy.  It is a true jewelry basic which you can enjoy wearing every day,  Rich with distinctive detailing, the textured oval link chain features stations of bezel set faceted Diamonique in many shapes. The Diamonique shapes consist of asscher cut, square cut, round cut and baguette cut, which make it one of the most interesting, unique basic chains you could add to your wardrobe.   This necklace is for every woman, at every age, and I will be offering it in 3-sizes.

To truly celebrate the season, I decided to re-introduce one of my all-time favorite pieces, my Eclipse Earrings, J157141, also affectionately referred to as my "Oprah" earrings.  Last holiday season, Oprah chose this style earring to feature on her Ultimate Favorite Things show, and after it aired, I quickly created a version for QVC, so that all of you could enjoy this popular style.  This year, in addition to the Canary version, I have added a new Pink Tourmaline Diamonique color.  It is a beautiful hue which many of you have been asking for in the Forum, so please let me know what you think.  I hope you like this classic favorite with a new color flavor.  By the way, did any of you happen to see the re-runs of Oprah's Favorite Things show from last year?  They ran last Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, on Oprah's OWN network.  Seeing my designs on Oprah never ceases to amaze me and make me smile.  Thank you again, Oprah!

Beyond my December shows slated for Tuesday, December 13 and Wednesday, December 14, I am honored to make a cameo appearance on Lisa Robertson's Posh in the Park show.  Lisa and I have been dear friends for many years, and I always love being on-air with her.  So, to have the opportunity to join her on HER show, not mine, is a true honor.  Lisa - Thank you for inviting me and selecting my Ombre earrings, J266172, as one of your favorites.  Being chosen as one of your "favorite things" is right up there with being chosen as one of Oprah's!  Lisa specifically requested these earrings, as these were the earrings that I wore during my photo shoot, which ran in this past September issue of Vogue.  I will be debuting this style in Green Amethyst, similar to the pair I wore, as well as in Champagne Quartz, which is an exquisite neutral.  Being part of the Vogue shoot was one of the highlights of my year.  If you have not yet seen the video clip, I think you will enjoy clicking the below link.

So, please mark your calendars for my appearance on Lisa's Posh Presents show on Friday, December 9th at 10pm and my December shows scheduled for Tuesday, December 13 from 11pm to 1am (with my TSV kick-off at midnight) and 1am to 2am (a special show featuring handbags hosted my lovely daughter-in-law, Allison), as well as Wednesday, December 14 from 10am to 11am, 2pm to 4pm, 7pm to 9pm and 11pm to midnight.

Busy, busy, busy - I feel like a holiday elf!  Holiday wishes to all, and to all a great New Year.

With love,

Judith
