Falling for Fashion

by on ‎09-17-2010 12:11 PM

Fall is in the air in New York City.  The kids are back at school, the UN is back in session (I live near the UN and traffic is unbearable) and the runway shows at Lincoln Center are almost over.  I love fall because it stimulates the senses and it’s all about great fashion.  I mean who does not love a cozy sweater or a great leather jacket, or of course, new jewels?

This fall is particularly exciting for me because I will be back on the Q with a host of new experiences. First of all, I have a 5:00 AM show on September 22nd with Nancy Hornback.  This is exciting for me as I have never had the opportunity to work with her.  If any of you are friends with her, I would send her a fair warning ahead of time!  The truly exciting thing about this is the entire show will be clearance priced.  I have reviewed the items in this show and there are great trends and very exciting styles that will enhance your fall wardrobe.    This will be a chance for me to make a new friend and after all isn’t that what shopping is about?

I am back later that evening with Jane Treacy.   I LOVE working with Jane!  She makes my job easy because it really is like going shopping with my sister.  A little bit of trivia - Jane is the first host I ever met at the Q and she was the first host on the very first Kenneth Jay Lane show.  Jane can share many funny and tender stories about Kenneth, shopping and fashion, so tune in.   The most exciting part of that show is that we have AMAZING new styles (one of my all time favorite styles is brand new and I cannot wait to share it with you).  At 7:00 PM that evening we have some Classic Chic Kenneth pieces as well as the season’s hottest trends.  Jane and I are sure to have a blast and hope you will be there to share in the fun.

I also have a very, very, very big secret to share with you.  I will be on the air on Friday, October 1st for a special appearance on QVC This Friday Fashion Morning.  Kenneth has out done himself with a very special piece and opportunity that I am pleased to launch with my morning show friends….perhaps I may stay the whole show and be your guest Tweeter.

Finally, since QVC feels like part of my family, I would like to share that my nephew and his lovely wife had the baby!  Last time I was on air I was hoping to get the call so many of you heard me talking about it but on August 30th I became a great uncle to Jayna Grace.  I already was a good uncle so now I have the chance to be a great great uncle.

Speaking of family, since QVC and all the people associated with the Q are like my extended family,  I also want to take this small moment to wish my best to Leilani from Ryka on the addition of her big little boy Patrick Cooper.   Think it is too early to arrange a blind date?

I will see you all on the 22nd and please call in and say hello.
