This week we are talking about our lovely mothers and the women in our lives who inspire us.
I am so lucky to have the best mom in the world who I talk to every day. It is my sincere hope that when I someday become a mom that I can be half as wonderful as her.
Websites and magazines are full of Mother's Day gift ideas so I thought I'd contribute with some important info I've learned from some good years (and less than perfect years) of Mother's Day gifts!
Breakfast in bed?
This may be a tradition in your family, but what about fixing mom a nice meal to have at a nicely set table? This means no crumbs in bed and quality family time together. If you're the mom in question and know your kids are planning a breakfast this Sunday, gently suggest how nice it would be to all dine together at the table?
Beauty in the bag
Our mom is blessed with great skin but she doesn’t have a lot of time to pay attention to make-up and the accessories that go with it. Last year my sister and I took a fun trip to Sephora and picked up some basics that were nicer quality than what our mom would buy for herself. If you don't know your mother's taste in make-up, how about a gift card for a spa day? Goodness knows a little bit of relaxation and pampering will be a treat for Mom!
Go for a drive
Some of the best mother-daughter memories I have were driving the winding country roads where I grew up in Virginia. That was the perfect time for my mom and me to catch up and chat, just the two of us. How about taking the driver's seat after brunch or dinner this Sunday and taking mom on a leisurely drive so you can catch up?
Isaac is famously so close with his mother and often talks about how the signature daisy you see in his ISAACMIZRAHILIVE! logo is based upon the fact that daises are his mother's favorite flower.
This week Isaac and the design team have brought us some lovely looks to wear to Mother's Day brunch this weekend and throughout spring and summer!
26" x 72" Bombay Floral Print Scarf (A224438) – This Bombay floral printed scarf with fringe is the perfect lightweight spring and summer accessory. Wear it as a shawl on cooler summer nights or the traditional way as a cute outfit accessory.
Color blocking is SO in this season, and a fun and unexpected way to pull it off is through jewelry! Try Isaac's Triple Strand Multi-Colored Candy Bead Necklace (J146126) in Azalea/Marigold for a cute color-blocked look.
Pull-On Painterly Chevron Maxi Skirt (A223814) – Chevron is also something you can't go without this season, and this perfect-length maxi skirt will make you feel so gorgeous – I love all of the colors but I'm always drawn to a beautiful gray!
See you tonight at 10 PM ET!
