Hi, everyone!

I wanted to share a few of my Refresh and Renew tips with you for spring.

First thing’s first…the garden. The weather is FINALLY getting nicer here in Eastern PA and I’m SO excited to get outside for some garden therapy. And I can’t WAIT for the butterflies to return to my garden. I love butterflies…they have a special place in my heart because I really believe that old legend...butterflies are our loved ones who are no longer with us, but who come back to say hello. I find they soothe my soul and I work hard to create a butterfly-friendly garden. Here’s what you can do to create your own butterfly haven:

A few more helpful tips. Don’t use insecticides. And, don’t release store-bought butterflies into the wild because they could spread disease and harm wild butterflies. Finally, just as hummingbirds are attracted to feeders, you might try attracting butterflies with pieces of fruit (like watermelon and cantaloupe). Place them around your garden or set out tiny dishes of fruit juice or sugar water.

We have two awesome butterfly bush assortments from Cottage Farms available online…this is the Cottage Farms Dazzling Designs 5-pc Butterfly Collection.

If you don’t have butterfly bushes, I HIGHLY recommend them. They’re easy to grow, they’re winter hardy, and they grow quickly, ensuring sooner butterfly visits.

Did you see the pictures I posted of Trevor at the Butterfly Experience at the Philadelphia Flower Show?

He STILL talks about how cool that was and I wholeheartedly agree.
