Fall Fashion and the Suzie Convertible Satchel

As the models and fashion bloggers quickly shuffle out of New York with fashion week behind us, we can all feel Fall in the air.  And that means, especially as a designer, it’s time to get back to the drawing board. On to the next season! With all of the craziness of designing a new collection comes a lot of traveling and not enough time to change around bags as frequently as I would like to! But have no fear! I have the perfect solution, the Suzie Convertible Satchel.

When I designed this travel savvy satchel I thought about what I always find myself longing for in an everyday bag.  I knew I wanted it to be fashionable and make a statement, yet it had to be a carryall, big enough to fit all the essentials for a woman on the go.

I made the shape large enough to fit a weekend getaway’s worth of necessities while keeping the bag chic in the details. I decided to tuck away the zippers under the leather in order to create soft folded edges. These hidden zippers give it a smooth, warm and classic feel to the overall look.

When I am on the move, I always find myself frustrated with having to open up and sift through a big bag full of tons of stuff! That’s why I gave the Suzie two large hidden slip pockets on both sides to throw in your phone and keys for quick and easy access.

Now, for my favorite part! I’m always thinking about functionality of a bag and how to ensure you look your best while going about your busy life with ease. Although it seems like fashion and function don’t always go hand-in-hand, it is always my goal to bridge the gap! On this fabulous satchel, I put a hidden long magnetized shoulder strap that neatly locks into the bottom of the bag! Just pull the tab and slip it on and just like that you’re hands-free! You can talk on the phone with one hand; hold your water in the other all whilst flaunting your Suzie on your shoulder! Who says we can’t have our cake and eat it too?

functionality is key

Believe it or not I’m already in Hong Kong to get inspired at some of the worlds best luxury jewelry and leather shows. It’s been hectic, but a lot of fun. There’s nothing better than getting inspired and catching up with fresh new ideas for the next season!

until next time! xoxo

Stay tuned for my next post on Fall Fashion!

But first, I’m dying to know: What features make a travel bag perfect for you?
