It's important to let in natural light- it'll help any space feel brighter and bigger. A white sheer or shade that can diffuse light but not block it is best for your windows. It's also great to have some elegant or traditional pieces incorporated but be careful not to over do it. Here, we see too many different styles forced together and they're all fighting for attention! It's kinda like when brothers compete haha. Instead, create a focal point like a feature wall and have the rest of the room complement it. A fireplace is typically a nice feature so don't hide it with that chair!

Less is more. If this wall is where your TV has to stay, focus on bringing balance and symmetry to this wall so that it doesn't look so cluttered.
Put away the toys! Consider a coffee table or ottoman that doubles as storage so you can tuck away toys but have them easily accessible. Your window panels shouldn't fully block the windows so consider faux wood blinds (cost effective) and leave the panels as decor to the side of your window. If you really want wow factor consider adding an electric fireplace and wall-mount your TV above it. Electric units these days can look exactly like the real thing. Be sure to build it into the wall and even add a beautiful tile surround for added value.

Curb appeal: You need some wow factor for your home! Painting your front door and garage doors a slightly bolder color can make the curb appeal pop. Even a darker tone in the same color palette is nice if your trim is white or black! Consider continuing your garden the length of your driveway to help create an inviting entry! You NEED some color in your life!! Flowers, shrubs and even some path lighting could give you the dramatic front scape you need. Defining a space: Throwing two chairs in a room doesn't exactly define a space. Is this a living room? A dining room? Especially when selling, it's important to establish what the function of the space will be so potential buyers can easily imagine themselves in that space. It's okay to use an area rug on carpet as it can help add color of pattern to a room. If it's in the budget, there's nothing better than flowing hardwood through your main floor! The blue and red paint is fairly dark so I would recommend using a little color like a soft gray..and punch up the color and personality in your artwork and decor.
If this happens to be your front entry you could also create separation with some freestanding open shelves for storage that sit below counter height.

Fresh and New: You've fallen into the beige and brown trap! This kitchen feels tired. If you don't have a huge budget to renovate your kitchen, that's fine. Spend money where it counts here: Cabinets, lighting and walls. Simply painting the cabinets white will make this kitchen feel fresh and newer. Along with a lighter tone on the walls the space will actually feel twice the size. Lighting is crucial in any small area. Replace that fixture with recessed lights or at least a newer fixer that can offer some better disbursement of light. If your budget is a little higher, consider new hardware, fixtures, counters and floors. Plus, a backsplash is not only functional but it can be that feature in your kitchen that everyone talks about.
