Our Georgia weekend at Courtney and Aaron's wedding.

by on ‎09-22-2014 11:24 AM

The weather was perfect, the wedding was beautiful and Courtney looked gorgeous ....  like a magical Disney princess. Her husband, Aaron looked handsome and SO in love with Courtney! It was so much fun!!

Courtney shed a tear or two coming down the aisle and so did I.  I would guess there were about 200-250 guests there. The reception was held at a country club, which was a luscious green.

Courtney's dad gave his "Father of the Bride" speech and said something like 'look how you've turned out; you're sweet and kind, you have a successful career and now you're a wife, but you'll always be my little girl!' Everybody sighed, "Awwwww!" It was quite touching .... so heartfelt.

Courtney's dress was designed by Mark Zunino who worked with Nolan Miller. Half way through the reception, Courtney disappeared, and when she returned, she had removed the bottom skirt of the wedding dress and it became a sophisticated shorter dress! Great idea!! Leave it to an incredible designer to think of that!

The food included shrimp n grits, chicken, roast beef, mashed potatoes, southern Mac and cheese, sautéed veggies, rolls and salad. For dessert, there was something yummy one lady said was Mississippi mud cake (I just know it was heavenly) and some of the best cupcakes! I know one was called cookie dough cupcake, and another was called a s'mores cupcake. Yum! Of course, I had to have Sweet Tea!

The guests danced for a long time and took pictures in a fun photo booth. Then you would get two copies of the 4 fun pics, and we put one strip of 4 in a scrapbook for Courtney and Aaron and wrote something fun beside them. We got to keep the other strip for ourselves. What a cute idea!

It was such a privilege and a blessing to attend Courtney and Aaron's wedding!
I love Courtney so much that I so wanted to be there for her big day! Also, Mark and I got a little 3-day weekend get-a-away, and what's not to love about that!!??

Counting our blessings,

Mary Beth Roe
