Hello my LCNY fashionistas...I hope you had a great weekend, and whatever your holiday was, you enjoyed with family and friends.  I was asked to write in my blog about the Davies family Easter traditions. In the past it was all about getting the kids together. The night before Easter we would dye eggs, and I would start the prep for the meal..  Larry would fill the mufti colored plastic eggs and hide them in the yard.  We would then attend church Easter morning and I would spend the day trying to slow down the fast inhale of the candy my kids would consume.

As our kids got older, the meaning became different more about getting the gang together along with the grandparents. Then we hit a big bump. We have for the last four years been trying to find "the new normal".  As you have seen on Facebook and some pics posted by friends, I have been dating a wonderful man that also lost a spouse.  It has been slow and steady.  We both  enjoy tennis, golf, family, friends and unfortunately have been to the same movie if you get my drift.  My children have met him many times.....especially Kevin.  I have met his daughter many times and attended her wedding as his date. 

So, this Easter Sunday was the day to get the gang together!  Yes ....I was nervous. Would it be awkward, would there be that uncomfortable silence?...Guess what kids are resilient!  It was great.  Dinner was wonderful if I do say so myself. As for the BIG meeting of the clans......easy....spoken out of the mouths of babes "Mom what were you so worried about?"

Spring is all about new beginnings.  Graduations, weddings,babies all become the new normals.  Here is to new adventures and my wonderful children who keep pushing their Mom out of the nest.  I am truly blessed.  Join MBR  and me on Wednesday.  Get ready to try our LCNY NEW YOU.......I have not let you down yet
