Hello, my fellow fashionistas!

Welcome to the month of craziness and fun. First and foremost, I hope your Thanksgiving holiday was wonderful. As you know, I decided to host this year. My turkey would have made Rachael Ray cry…with happiness - I am just saying. The food was great, but having my whole gang together - 15 total – was PRICELESS!

If you have not started your holiday shopping, get going. If you are already done and wrapped, I envy you. I have started, which by past standards I am ahead of the game. As you know, our wonderful LCNY Wednesday show has taken a break until January 1, 2014, but we still have a New You item. Our New You is an item that we feel is a bit different than you might expect. Stepping out of the box, if you will.  This week it is an oldie but goodie with a fresh feel. It is the Liz Claiborne New York Double Breasted Peacoat (A237059).

The silhouette is timeless, but the colors are new and fresh. It’s a great update to a classic. Kind of like you and me, right? I bought my first peacoat in 1975. I had to have it, or I surely would have died. I was so excited. It was navy blue (of course), made of wool (of course), and manly-looking (of course). I was a junior in high school at the time, and the boy I had a crush on asked me on the first day I wore it why did I have on my brother’s coat. I was CRUSHED, and it lost its luster. Alas, thirty years later and counting…I have this LCNY peacoat in the petal pink. It is stunning and does NOT look like my brother’s coat. It is exactly what you would expect from our team. So if the old you still has a peacoat in your closet from thirty years ago, it is time for this NEW YOU item.
