Favorite room to decorate for Christmas?

Years ago I would have said the family room, but this last year I had an all-white flocked tree in my master bedroom and I love going to sleep with just the lights of the Christmas tree.

How many Christmas trees do you decorate?

Four! I also decorate three full rooms; one stairway; and various details on doors, mantels, headboards, etc.

Favorite holiday meal?

I grew up vegetarian, and my mother would make a specific vegetarian casserole with all the “fixins” for special meals like Christmas dinner.

Favorite Christmas song?

One favorite Christmas song? Impossible! I like a lot of the classics like “I’ll Be Home For Christmas,” “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” and religious songs like “Ave Maria.”

Best Christmas memory?

Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with our family all together. We would even wrap up gifts for our dog, Boots, and she would join us. She wasn’t an “indoor” dog, but on Christmas she was and she loved it!

Best Christmas tradition?

I don’t know if it was our best tradition, but I laugh whenever I think about the tradition of taking all the bows from our gifts and sticking them to our hair. By the time all the presents were opened, we had a Christmas bow hat to top off our pajamas!

Favorite holiday movie?

Scrooged with Bill Murray! I watch it even when it’s not Christmas.

Gift for your best friend?

A piece of jewelry that she’ll love. Leslie loves bold, vintage pieces and Kym loves pieces with ohm signs.

Holiday party attire?

I have a party at my house every year for a group of girls. It started out as the PM Style® models and has now just become our little group. I usually go with an elegant or festive top with dressy jeans and some great jewelry.

Favorite part of the holidays?

I love all of it! Seeing everything look beautiful, the way people think of others, the music everywhere you go, and coming home to a house that looks like a winter wonderland.

When do you start Christmas shopping?

Usually I start contemplating it in the summer time, and begin actually buying things around September.

Gifts: Give or receive?

Definitely give.

Gift wrapping tips?

The presentation can make the gift. I love coordinating the wrap with ribbon and adding flowers, berries, greenery, etc. Taking the time to make it beautiful shows it is important to you.

Best gift you’ve ever received?

One of my early years at QVC, I did not have enough time off to get to my family’s for Christmas. My parents changed their plans of spending Christmas with the grandkids to come spend it with me so I wouldn’t be by myself. It was the best gift I could have ever received and one I still cherish.
