My Thanksgiving Menu, Pebbles Graver + A New Obsession

by on ‎11-25-2013 04:27 PM

Hello PM Stylers!  Well, we’ve made it… The week before Thanksgiving, which means putting up the tree is right around the corner! Thanks to the internet and Pinterest, I have finally decided on my Thanksgiving menu!   Here’s what I’m thinking (in case you need a little inspiration):

Appetizers: Butternut Squash Soup with Pancetta, Pistachios, and Crème Fraiche (Thank you Mark Charles Misilli!), Apple, Brie, and Honey Bruschetta, and Endive with Goat Cheese,  Cranberries, Walnuts, and Chives.

Main Course: Two Turkey Breasts.  One is going in the smoker and the other is going to have an herb crust with chardonnay gravy.  Aaron will be smoking ribs during Thanksgiving… but this year, we’re only smoking 1 as opposed to 5 J.

Sides: Artichoke and Wild mushroom Stuffing, Mac and Cheese, and Green beans Almondine.

Desert: Good Question; maybe Mrs. Prindable’s Apples!?

What does your Thanksgiving menu consist of?  Even though this is only my third Thanksgiving, I feel pretty confident my menu has changed every year, ha!

Babysitting Pebbles Graver has gone so well!!  She is a busy puppy baby, but we have enjoyed getting to know her and have her in our home.  I will sure miss her when she leaves us!

Beauty Obsession: SmileActives Set of 4 Teeth Whitening Pens

So this is a little different than most of my Beauty Obsessions you’ve seen me present.  So as my first obsession dedicated to teeth; what is it that is so captivating, intelligent, and beautiful about clean, white teeth?  I think it’s easy for a lot of us to get stuck in the rut that are teeth are the color that they are and that’s that… well not anymore my friends!  As I start thinking about the laundry list of things I want to accomplish before my wedding date; getting a whiter, brighter smile is definitely up there! Maybe you’re thinking Christmas, NYE, or a new year, new you.  I have the best news: Whiter teeth can come in as little as two days, with dramatic results approaching at 14 days.  I once paid $40 for a 7-day whitening supply at my dentist office, I used it once because it hurt so bad and I felt like I was foaming at the mouth.  This formula is very gentle and stays put on your teeth!  If you can use a paint brush, you can use this… Simply paint on after you’ve brushed your teeth, leave on for 20 minutes, then rinse.

Here is a set of 4, each a one month supply for the same price that I paid to only whiten for 7 days.  Love this idea for stocking stuffer, but also I must to have in the handbag and at home! Click here to find it!

PM STYLE:

Skinny tees are back! The final order of the year has just arrived and just in time… we were sold out of these for a little while and I missed the boat on bringing home Black and White.  Careful: These are addictive and you’ll want to wear with every outfit Smiley Happy

Can you believe Dennis Basso just celebrated his 20 year anniversary here at QVC?  He’s going to be in the show tonight with a serious faux mink cape… wow!

Project Runway All Stars:

This week the designers worked in pairs to create a modern 30’s look with pieces inspired by the Lifetime movie Bonnie and Clyde.  I feel happy Jeffrey finally won a challenge this week.  It was well deserved considering he’s been in the bottom 2 most of the challenges so far… maybe this will start his upswing?!  The jacket he made was just gorgeous- The fabric and the piping detail was original and stood out against what we think a jacket for a man should look like.  I hope this starts a new trend!

I was terribly sad to see Mychael and Viktor in the bottom two.  Viktor has been one of my favorite contestants throughout this season, but I have to tell you, when his jacket turned around… it reminded me a Dallas Cowboy’s Cheerleader jacket…. Please don’t hate me! I just don’t understand why that tassel/fringe combination was put on there… Ekk!!  Even though Mychael’s didn’t look 30’s inspired, I actually liked the color of the bronze and the leather on his menswear jacket.  The lapel I agree was a big distraction, but nonetheless I am sad to see him go.

Who had your favorite design this week?  Don’t forget to check out Inspired by Pieces from Project Runway All-Stars on QVC.com and check out my ToGather collection on qvc pieces that inspired me from each week’s challenges.

See you tonight from 7-10 PM on my Facebook page, Courtney Cason QVC. Click here to find me on Facebook!
