Roses For Me?

Hello, my LCNY fashionistas!


Wow! What a wonderful weekend last week, and what a beautiful Wednesday it was! My birthday was November 6th. I am 55 years wise. I say that because when I reflect back on all the events happening in my life to get me to this day of celebration, it has made me wiser. Last weekend I had my gang home to celebrate my birthday and the 5th year of Team Davies participating in the Free to Breathe 5K for lung cancer. Oh, what a turnout! Helping to raise money for a cause like this is ever-so humbling.


So what have I learned? I have discovered that I AM stronger than I ever imagined I would be; that life can continually throw curve balls at you, and sometimes boulders, but it is all about your inner strength and the people you surround yourself with that move you forward. Our four children are in a good spot in their lives. Three have graduated from college with jobs – one of them is married, another engaged, and the third is just starting out on his path. The fourth is accomplishing great things in his senior year of high school and preparing for the next phase. I am so proud of them! My heart is full. Their father is glowing in heaven. I am entering the next phase; I’m soon to be an empty-nester. The good news, my friends, is that because of your love, support, and courage that you have shown for me as well as that I have for my children has helped carry me forward. There are No words to tell you how grateful I am to each and every one of you. Many of you have suffered as I have for many reasons. I hope I have encouraged you as you have done for me.


So on that beautiful Wednesday in November with the perfect weather, the trees brilliantly on fire with color, and the well wishes coming in…I celebrated my 55 years of being wiser. I am the new me, hence the LCNY NEW YOU. Our Wednesday show is on hiatus until January 1st, 2014, but the NEW you item carries on.
