Weekend Recap, Thanksgiving Thoughts + Winter Skin Remedy

                Hello PM Stylers!  I hope you enjoyed the first weekend of November.  The leaves were GORGEOUS here in PA! 


 


 


 


 


 


 


It’s finally jacket weather for us here and I have just been soaking it all in.  Aaron and I had a low key weekend because I was working, but sometimes that’s just the ticket.  Yummy dinners and lots of good TV are always a nice way to end a weekend.




                Random question- Have you started making your Thanksgiving menu yet?  Every year and by that I mean this will be my third Smiley Happy, I try to change up my side dishes.  I like to have the staple proteins for Thanksgiving- but I like to experiment with dishes I haven’t tried before.  Right now I’m thinking smoked Gouda grits and green beans with honey caramelized onions.  I did see my girl Ina Garten making some Butternut squash soup with apples as a potential holiday appetizer, but we shall see… I have to make it first.  What is your fav dish to make for thanksgiving?

                I can’t tell you how badly my skin dries out in the winter time.  The cold takes the life from my skin and sometimes it shows.  It’s not just me this happens to but to my sweet Aaron as well. 


                 Now I don’t have to tell you that my house is walking advertisement for QVC Beauty products;  as evident by all of my Beauty Obsessions.  So I was thinking to myself this week, what’s good for everyone in the house? What could make a difference? What would be a small luxury to enjoy?  Voilà!  Take a look at this Ultra Repair Cream that’s a mini.  Here’s why I love:



  • The Packaging which is going to be the first thing people notice.  Its gender neutral and the perfect size.  You’ll get a lot of uses out of this 2 oz. bottle but it doesn’t scream that you have a big beauty product lying around in your handbag or work bag.  A must have for the guy or gal who travels!

  • It doesn’t have much of a scent.  This is perfect for Aaron!  He always tell me, he likes the way my perfumes and lotions smell, but he doesn’t want to smell like me, and I get that.  First Aid Beauty Repair Cream has a spa like scent to it- but not in the way you would think.  It’s not heavy and if anything it’s barely noticeable. Think rain water; refreshing and light. 

  •  Use it all over your body!  The repair cream dives right into your skin as soon as you put it on.

  • It’s the perfect texture.  You know how sometimes intense moisturizing creams are so thick it’s impossible to absorb?  This has a light decadent texture that your skin quickly absorbs… almost like it’s have an “Ahhhh” moment of relaxation. 

  • Quick Drying time- No need to wait this one out.  After you apply, your skin is ready to go when you are.  How does your skin feel?  Soft and like it has a layer of protection over it Smiley Happy

  • My favorite use is on my hands.  The colder months take the life out of my skin and anything I can do to quickly revive it and bring some life back into is just delightful.  I would love to send this off with Aaron in his work bag so he could use when his hands were aching.
