Christmas Is Coming…Let's Get Your Holiday Wardrobe Ready!

Posted by Lisa Robertson 1351112842.547
Today, I started getting my Christmas trees out. I know it's crazy early, but I was looking at my schedule and realized that it's going to be a very busy holiday. And, if I don't get started now, I won't get them finished until New Year's!

I think there are a lot of things about the holidays that are better if you get them done early: working on your gift list, decorating, getting a few things to wear for those holiday get-togethers, etc. Starting today, and every week 'til New Year's, I'll be finding 10 things to help you get ready for the holidays. Of course, a lot of my gift picks will be well, gifts, but I thought this week we could start getting our holiday wardrobe together. (You know, buying something new to wear always makes things go better.) {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}  So some things for us, some things for gifts, some things for us...did I say mention some things for us?

GILI Dress
This dress in black is the perfect holiday party dress. It flatters your figure, frames your jewelry, and never makes it look like you’re trying too hard.

Judith Ripka Necklace
This necklace is one of my all-time favorites. I own it and never get tired of it. It’s stunning.

Judith Ripka Ring
I love a big ring for the holidays and this one is gorgeous!

Judith Ripka Earrings
It’s nice to have an earring that’s special for a holiday look, but can be worn year round. This one is something special, but doesn't compete with a necklace. And, it can be worn alone for a more everyday look.

Joan Rivers Sequin Shell
One sequin piece makes everything look holiday. From jeans to a pencil skirt, this shell is easy and glamorous.

Marc Bouwer Dress
Both colors in this dress are an updated silhouette that'll take you into holiday. They’re also extremely forgiving. With the emphasis on the draping, you’re covered, but right on trend.

Joan Rivers Sequin Scarf
A sequin scarf adds a little warmth if you're wearing it to a party, or gives you the sparkle you need if you wear it all evening. It can take a simple everyday dress and make it look special.

VT Luxe Velvet Jacket
If sequins are a bit much for you, velvet is the perfect holiday alternative. Imagine this jacket with big earrings and stacked up bangles, and it's a party!

Honora Pearl Necklace
Drape me in strands of big, gorgeous pearls and I’m a happy woman! I own these and love them. They're perfect for wearing, giving, or receiving. :)

Judith Ripka Cuff
To me, this is the ultimate "dress up" cuff. You don't have to go "black tie," but it definitely makes whatever you wear look special.

See you soon!

Hi Lisa,

I'm with you. I purchased some Christmas gifts today and for the first time ever, I thought about wrapping them (yes in October). I always say that I'm going to keep on top of it, but wind up waiting until the last minute and spend hours wrapping.

I have been compiling a holiday wardrobe so maybe this year I will finally be ahead of the game....and....I am happy to report that I just purchased 5 pairs of shoes and 3 pairs of boots from the Shoes on Sale event.

Happy Holidays!!!!!

You have some great picks Lisa. Would like to get the Safari shirt you are wearing on the PM STYLE TODAY 10/28/2012 and the picture of you in the shirt sitting on the chase chair on your page. It will make a great Christmas Gift.

For goodness sake Lisa, you can choose from hundreds of QVC pants and you continue to wear those same dark washed trousers almost every time you're hosting. I just don't get it.

Hi Lisa. Do you know if Bethleham Lights will be offering the slim flocked trees like the one you showed in your dining room? I thought your silver and blue tree was so pretty that last year I gave my regular BL tree to my parents because I wanted to get a white flocked tree this year, but the Q has not been selling them this year. I had my heart set on it and no trees. Bummer. I bought all blue and silver ornaments on sale last year. I called customer service but they had no answers. Ill have to buy one locally, but really wanted a BL tree. Wondering if you knew if they will be coming up - need to plan ahead. Thanks. Hope you enjoy your holidays and get some time to yourself.

Lisa, I have to start by saying I love all of your shows. You have exquisite taste. When you say ladies run to the phone, I don't even have to look at the scren because I know i "need that." I have a question about the Christmas tree you had posted last year- the red and gold tree. It looks like you used 3 ribbons pinched together at the branches, then they would swag across the tree. Can you explain how you did that?

I showed my husband this post. He thinks I'm crazy for decorating a week before Thanksgiving! I have three kids under the age of ten, two terriers, and I homeschool. I need time to get it done RIGHT. By the way, the red dress is now mine! Thanks for the post. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

I am so disappointed in the choice of holiday clothing on the Q this year. I always look forward to what is available every year but this year the best was Joan Rivers and although I loved what she brought it was not what I was looking for and I had to find my outfits for this holiday season through other sources. Please, Please talk to the buyers about more glitz and glamour for the 2013 holiday season! I will continue to watch and buy because I dearly love the Q and am always complimented on my clothing of which I purchase quite a bit here.
