San Francisco Surprise

It’s been far too long since I visited SF and what a special city it is!

Because it’s been so long I was delighted by the changes that have taken place and had a wonderful time. I went to see longtime friends and join them for the opening of the opera, Moby Dick. My great friend, playwright Terrance McNally, was very influential in inspiring this production, so it was also a personal journey for me and special to be with him for the opening night.

In addition to seeing another opera, I was amazed at the wonderful restaurants SF has to offer. I had some terrific meals, and was totally impressed with the concentration on supporting local farmers. You have to have good legs, but what a great city to walk in-- beautiful parks, a lovely waterfront, lots of energy. The weather was perfect, with just the right fall nip in the air. I am glad I brought a warm jacket.

Returning back home to NY with no jet lag has been easy. Fall is in full swing here….and that means Stan Herman Cozy, Comfy time. So, I’m on the road again! I’m off to QVC this evening to launch a new WSL (while supplies last) item- A226901. This is in response to so many of your requests. I’ll be on Friday the 19th at 2:00AM ET and again at 1:00PM ET with 1-hour shows. Then I’ll be joining Carolyn Gracie on Monday the 22nd at 3PM ET in Gifts of Style.  I’ll update more appearances on my Facebook page.
