As many of you may have read on Facebook, Jaclyn visited this weekend with her boyfriend Kevin and their new fur-baby, Mack!  They had been wanting to adopt a dog for a long time and finally made the decision to head to a local shelter a few weeks ago and rescue one.  Mack stole their hearts and now he has an amazing forever home!  The shelter believes him to be a lab and spaniel mix.  This is very special to our family because Barney, our dog when the kids were growing up, was a lab, and our dog now, Sammy, is a spaniel... so Mack is a combination of them both!  This visit was the first time that I met him and I couldn’t have been happier.

Sammy is also a rescue dog… Our son, David was walking home from school one day and a skinny malnourished Sammy decided to join him on the walk home - she’s been with us ever since! :-)

I am such an animal lover… this is why I prefer faux leather.
