My Maryland Roots & A Sneak Peek at Next Week's PM Style

by on ‎08-16-2012 03:16 PM

I’m a Maryland girl. Also known as the Chesapeake Bay State, Maryland is home to the Baltimore Orioles, the U.S. Naval Academy, and the Maryland blue crab. Every year I look forward to summer and the hot, steamy crabs coated in Old Bay seasoning that it brings. The thing about steamed crabs though—they’re messy. That’s why eating crabs is a summer tradition. It’s much neater and easier when you eat them outdoors.

With fall right around the corner, Judson and I are planning our last big summer cookout. On the menu will be hamburgers, hot dogs, and, of course, a bushel of crabs. If you can’t tell, I’m really looking forward to it!

Something else I’m really looking forward to is next week’s edition of PM Style.  There are several new items in the show that I can’t wait to see! I'm a huge fan of designer Cynthia Vincent and she returns to QVC with three new pieces including a cardigan and maxi skirt. Her clothes have an easy sophistication with a hint of bohemian flavor that work for women of all sizes.

Joan Rivers will also stop by with her urban chic wool cape. I did manage to get a sneak peek of this new design from Joan, and it's so on-trend and well made. It has an easy shape and a detailed double-breasted button front.

Fashion stylist Lori Goldstein, designer and FIT professor George Simonton, and product developer Peter Thomas Roth all have new items you won’t want to miss, so make sure to tune in Monday at 7pm ET. I’ll be chatting live on the QVC Facebook page during the show and I’ll also have a new Perfect Pair to share with you. For a sneak preview, check out the Bella Boot from Spring Step (A318528).

I’ll see you next week!
