Hello my LCNY fashionistas. Wow, what a beginning of the month it has been! We launched our new show on Wednesdays with Mary Beth Roe from 9 – 10 a.m. ET. I so love hearing from all of you and spending time together in the morning. That being said, let’s talk girl talk. It is that dreaded time of year when we enter the dressing rooms with our BFFs or sister and look at bathing suits and or jeans. We will discuss bathing suits when it gets a bit warmer outside, but today our focus is on jeans. 

For those of us who used to refer to jeans as dungarees, the afternoon in the dressing room is far from a self-confidence builder. If you still own the “Mom” jeans where the waist band is almost touching the bottom of your bra, change is in the air. If your daughters convinced you several years ago to jump on the low rise band wagon, where you could not sit or bend over without offending the world, have I got a jean for you. Liz Claiborne has been known for years for iconic fashion, great fit, and style. Do they know bottoms? You bet they do. Liz Claiborne New York Jackie Five Pocket Bootcut Jeans (A221605) come to the rescue. The Jackie fit is about one inch below your natural waistline. How ingenious! There’s no spillage or the infamous “muffin top.” You can sit, bend over, stand up straight, and live a normal life. These are not the so-called “Mom” jeans, which, by the way, I took great offense to that name. I am a mom of four and proud of it. The bootcut is not over the top wide, just enough to balance the bottom from your hips. It is all smoke and mirrors, my friend. They’re definitely worth a try. They come in white, dark rinse, and light wash. So from one BFF to another, I’ll share some inside info with you…these jeans will be in the show this Wednesday, April 18^th. So make sure to tune in and give our new jean a try.
