Spring break happens during the time of year when we could all use a little get away; whether it is a journey around the world, or just a little mini-break to step back from the stress of daily life and breathe!

Living in New York can be quite hectic at times and I like to think I keep a pretty calm outlook on life. I think it’s important to try to give myself little breaks each day (or week!) to stay calm and centered. Here are some fun ways to help you take a mini ‘Spring Break’ that barely cost a dime!

Iced tea may be looked at as a truly Southern beverage, but I think anyone can enjoy it! When the weather gets nice, how about taking 20 minutes to sit on your porch or stoop with a fresh glass of iced tea? Add a little mint or lemon  to make it even more refreshing!

Ever checkout the website Pinterest? It is an online pin board where you can organize your thoughts. Check out Isaac’s pinboard. I love taking a few minutes out of my day to scroll through all of the amazing ideas on Pinterest. I have planned my sister’s birthday party using some neat and crafty ideas, as well as found a plethora of tasty recipes from other Pinners.
