All I Want For Christmas…

by on ‎12-16-2011 07:10 PM

Well, in the song they say my ‘two front teeth’, but, if you are a Mackinista, you know you’d rather have something new from Bob Mackie’s line of Wearable Art, right?

I have selected a WOW piece for you:  Bob Mackie’s Knit Sweater Coat with Embroidered Sleeves (A217769).  I have it in the grape color.  The other colors are red and stone. All of the color choices are finished with the black knit trim and embroidery.

This sweater recently debuted in Fall 2011 and is already Customer Top Rated!  I think it’s because this really has the lines and design of couture fashion, but it is still something that you can dress down, like I did here.  If you would like to hear what other Mackinistas have to say, click here to check out the reviews.  Many of the ladies loved it so much they bought all three colors!

There is a reason is this called a sweatercoat.   The length is longer and allows for more coverage.  The knit is a combination of cotton and acrylic, which is a little bit thicker to provide terrific body and hold the shape well.  The front zipper features his signature pull, and there is black rib trim up the front and around the neckline.  The same trim finishes the ¾ length sleeves.  The patch pockets are a nice addition and allow for plenty of room.

Here is the art!  The decorative embroidery goes up each sleeve.  This is where the haute couture elements really shine, setting this piece apart from anything else you see in fashion.

Speaking of Christmas trees…I promised you a photo of our tree.  Here is it!

Our Christmas Tree!

I added a little bling with wide sparkle net ribbon and feathers.  I have been collecting Christmas ornaments since I was little.  Every ornament we have was a gift.  That is why our tree is so special.  It represents what life is: a gift!  This is my favorite ornament.  It has a Bob Mackie look to it, wouldn’t you say?
