My Weekly Update

Hi PM Style ladies,

How are you? I had a blast with you last week. At first I was a little bummed about the fact that we were only having a two-hour show, but in a way I do like it when we shorten the show. Sounds crazy, I know, but there’s a faster energy that happens when we know we only have two hours together. Plus, it sure is easier on my feet when we have one less hour.

How cute was the Marc Bouwer cardigan last week? Did you get? I know lots of gals on Facebook were talking about that one. Seems Lisa’s Style File jacket had a lot of comments too. I thought it looked absolutely great on Lisa. Then again what doesn’t look good on her? It’s so funny how many remarks we get on Facebook about Lisa wearing all black. She certainly does have a favorite color, LOL.

How weird was it that we had Christmas trees on the set last week? I love Christmas, but sometimes it just gets here too fast. When do you put up your tree? We usually start decorating on the weekend after Thanksgiving. When I say start I should also say finish decorating because it only takes one day as we are still in a small apartment. I've been thinking that for the first time I would like to put lights on the front bushes. This fall we put lanterns out front with a Candle Impressions flameless candle inside and it looks so pretty that I might have to step up and do outdoor lights for Christmas. I’ll keep you posted.

When last I blogged I was thinking about going into Philly for the weekend and we did. Lots of fun and lots of food. We went with Steve’s sister and her husband after breakfast on Sunday Funday. We didn’t get there 'til about 2 p.m., and by that time we were all ready for lunch so we went to one of my favorite places, Tria, and had some appetizers. The food is delicious. We shared figs stuffed with gorgonzola and each had a tasty beverage. Their wine and beer lists are extremely long with lots of original picks, so that’s another reason we like it so much. Then it was off to a full-blown lunch across the street at a place called Dandelion. Great atmosphere and again great food.

This weekend I need to get some exercise into my life as I can’t seem to get the five pounds off that I put on in California. Part of me says why bother because it's so close to winter and I always put on my “winter coat." It’s the weather, I tell you. I find my body craves lighter dishes in the heat and soothing, calming, hot, fatty meals in the winter. That’s why were having beef stroganoff for dinner tonight. Anyway, I think next Sunday Funday we'll get a bike ride and a walk in first and then start pigging out. We have a bike trail across from where we live, but Steve just found out about a new trail in the town next to us so we want to explore that, too. One thing is for sure — I’m going to miss when the warm weather is finally gone. I feel like a winter Sunday Funday is either the movies, the mall, or we bust out the board games. I love being outside!

Well, I hope you all had good weeks. You’ll have to fill me on what you’ve been doing on your down time. Hopefully something fun and enjoyable and not too much work. I’ll see you Monday night for another great PM Style.

See you soon,

—Amy
