Let's talk travel!  I'm heading to Napa Valley and San Francisco next week (work and pleasure!),  and I know several people who prefer "getting out of dodge" in the fall (fewer kids, cheaper rates).  So as I'm prepping for this little fall getaway, I'm reminded again of why Effortless Style is such a winner as a travel companion.

You've heard me say it before, ‘Effortless Style is like a good friend:  comfortable, forgiving and ready to go!!’  So before you pull out the suitcase, scratch your head, and figure out just how many different pair of shoes you're going to have to squeeze into your bag, let's consider:

• Comfortable, lightweight, stretch, drapey fabrics - I've got to pull my luggage, raise my arms through security, reach for the cool air on the plane, use their itty bitty lavatories….Comfort?  Check!


• Wrinkle resistant - I'm sure I'll be napping on the flight, then a bit of a car ride to Napa, and then... you expect me to look and feel fresh enough to meet people when I arrive?  Yep!  and I will.


• Fabrics that are perfect sported day or evening;  season to season; casual to dressy - Transitioning summer/fall in Northern CA so weather will vary; lots of different segments in my days - this event's uber dressy, this one's comfy casual.  I don't want to be over dressed or underdressed…..(sigh) Just right.


• Super-duper easy care - I KNOW I'll spill or drop or splash something on myself (even my wedding gown had a big old chocolate mark down the front!)  In the sink it will go!


• Ver-si-til-i-ty - Give me options! (Listen, I just like freedom.)  I want to wear THAT necklace.  I have to take THESE shoes.  Check out a great backdrop for loads of looks:  A203698 ( terrific 3 piece "jet"-set).

So I'll be heading off with Cam next week right after I hang with all of you on Monday, September 19^th at 6AM ET.
